The tail lights aren't dimmed I used ZEP a chemical degreaser. It's a super easy process for 15 dollars. It does not affect the visibility at all. It's the same thing as the blackout package.Your taillights would fail inspection in Virginia. They must be red and NO tint of any kind. People here think oh well it failed inspection but that gets logged into the database and why which is monitored by insurance. I know someone who lost their insurance for failed inspections due to the lift they put on a truck.
So far I've only seen .5 to 1 MPG drop at most.Any noticeable MPG drop with the larger tires?
You are incorrect. The tail lights aren't dimmed I used ZEP a chemical degreaser. It's a super easy process for 15 dollars. It does not affect the visibility at all. It's the same thing as the blackout package.
Seems like most mods are covered as long as you notify your insurance. No, insurance doesn't reward people who don't or can't read. They insured it as built not as modified. I have only had glass and hail claims in 50 years of driving. So I personally have not had a collision claim denied.
I appreciate it! I'm not sure what they are, I purchased the truck pre owned and they were on it already. That is a sharp looking Maverick. You have good taste, didn't over do-it with the exterior mods. Are your window visors Maxzina or EGR?
I have compared it to my speed on Waze and Google maps it seems to be the same. Slight 1 mpg hit as well.Sharp Maverick. Did putting the larger tires on it screw up the speedometer and odometer (speed reads slow and odometer reads short)? I'd bet you took an MPG hit by adding the larger tires, too. But, it does make the truck more capable off-road!
Dude, can you explain how you did the black lettering on the tailgate (materials used, where to buy, technique, etc.)?Wanted to show off some of upgrades on my 2022 Maverick lariat. I used the ole ZEP trick to black out the taillights and used a tint to smoke out the top half of the headlights to not reduce visibility. I also decided to add the black lettering on the back to make the Maverick pop. The last and perhaps most important step to top it off is to add the 245/60 r18 Venom Power Terra Hunter X/T tires on it. I also decided to remove the side steps that were included to give it more ground clearance. The tires have been great and I have no rubbing or modifications outside of just adding the larger tires. Let me know y'all's thoughts.
