I searched but could find anything on my specific question so here goes...

I really like the protection adding mud flaps can provide, just how much effect do they really have on milage?

Thanks to the community for any insights provided.

I added mud flaps to my 1979 320i when it was new...only to prevent, well, mud (dirt, rocks, etc.) from kicking up and damaging paint behind the wheels. Did the trick. I never thought about any effect on mileage + or -.

LOL. No effect on mileage unless you are using mud flaps off an 18 wheeler! Even then, probably not much.

Air deflectors are placed in front of wheels are small and deflect just enough wind to the side and down to reduce the speed of the air hitting the front more vertical portion of the tire.

Those are actually rock deflectors too. At least, according to the name of the part lol. I recall someone posting about it here previously.

Used weather tech to protect car paint from flying debris that airborne by spinning wheel. 0 fuel deduction.

I figured as much, I've never owned a hybrid, thanks for the reply
Concerning mud flaps and MPG, why would the engine system of the Mav make any difference?

For what it's worth, I've got mud flaps and my gas mileage is as good as anybody else's.
