pics? that is pretty hard to believe, honestly. the lobo is expensive enough to make since it has painted skirts, front fascia, rear bumper. I really doubt Ford has different panels, or fender liners.

it makes much more sense to me that you had an issue installing the mudflaps, such as being shipped 2 fronts, or wrong hardware, or something.
Nope, no such issue. Here is what I mistakenly bought from Amazon:
Mabett Mud Flaps for Ford Maverick 2025 2024 2023 2022 Accessories, Flexible Material, All-Weather Fender Front & Rear Mud Guards Splash 4PCS(Not Fit Lobo Model)
About this item

  • Custom Fitment: The mud flaps are custom designed for 2022-2025 Ford Maverick, ensuring a precise fit for your vehicle(The mud flap set does not compatible with 2025 Maverick Lobo model)

And, I provided the rears to a friend down the street with a 2024 XLT, and they fit just fine.

So, you're wanting more of a "splash guard" than a mud flap. Why didn't you say so? ;)

I get that you're relatively new here, but I can tell you that @colinl definitely is particular about his setup and is always happy to help lend his knowledge where he can. Stating your assumption that any of us trying to help you don't give a shit about any aspect of the subject is kind of like looking the proverbial gift horse in the mouth, don't you think?
Ya know, I regretted what I wrote after posting it. I apologize to both you and @colinl.
What I should have said is that some people just like to DIY. There is great satisfaction when you make something yourself whether it is to solve a problem or just for the enjoyment of doing it yourself. I have been doing that all my life - it's really satisfying. And now , since nobody makes rear mud flaps to fit a LOBO, I have to make them myself.
It's not about the money, I have more than enough.
BTW, I'm from WNY and I have never heard of "splash guards".

no harm done, but it's appreciated that you mentioned it anyway. in my youth, I pulled out the flamethrower my fair share of times, but I usually can keep a lid on it these days.

regarding splash guards, I think that's a weird term also, as I associate splashing with water, and I don't care about water. I care about mud and gravel... maybe snow. thus 'mud flaps' always made sense to me.

I believe Ford calls the ones on the front edge of the wheel wells a 'rock deflector'... I find that strange, because surely in that position the main benefit is aerodynamics. I wouldn't say zero rocks hit it, but unless you're rapidly reversing, probably not too many. LOL

I'm pretty sure I've seen mud splash. I'm not quite sure how "mud flap" better describes a product designed for gravel and snow.

Weird or not, It's a term used by many manufacturers to refer to a smaller guard and, to me, that seemed like what @Buggy Man is looking for, so that's why I mentioned it (see quote below). I don't think it's a regional term, so it shouldn't matter what area of the country you're from.

The mud flaps I have seen are way too big. They would be fine if you had to drive through a mud bog to get from your garage to the street.
Rockblokz even uses the term for a smaller guard:

rokblokz look and work fine on my truck, lowered on eibachs. this is 1.5+ inches lower than a stock lobo.

Rokblokz fit fine on my Lobo - but your truck looks so much better than mine/most:)

I would like to understand - what is the difference between the '25 LOBO and the other 2025 Maverick models that negates the fitment of mud flaps to the LOBO.
I know, I know, street trucks and autocross vehicles will look silly with mud flaps. (I just wanted to get that out of the way before someone else says it)

I have to take a gravel / dirt road when I go to the flying field and I don't want the Mav to get dinged up, and yes I drive very slow on that access road.
Rokblokz fit perfect & function well on my Lobo.

I've got better shit to do than try to DIY mudflaps when I can just buy them. the measuring, the mounting, even just the fasteners.

no thanks. not going to 'save' any money by the time I account for my time (which I value a lot, I'm at least $50/hr lol).
Well, some of us like to solve our own problems and spend time doing something constructive. I'm somewhere around 30/hr and I think you are a pompase ass.

Same here, maybe I judged you harshly, maybe it was the comment and not the person.

it wouldn't be any different. the only thing different about the lobo body-wise is the front fascia and the ride height. the fascia doesn't matter for mudflaps, and several others besides me have rokblokz on lowered mavericks.

if you drive down a gravel road you will hear a LOT of stuff hitting the mudflaps, but you won't have any trouble with them dragging the ground unless you get into 2-track, off-road/soft-road conditions.
I like your approach. Pliable enough to flex for conditions and just enough to protect. I'll be looking for DIY solutions for the front of rear rocker problem and left rear cavity above the exhaust also.

No, he's correct. The shape of the Lobo rear bumper (specifically near the locations where flaps mount) has been changed and is unique in comparison to the non-Lobo rear bumper.

Any flat flaps will be fine on a Lobo, but the molded designs, such as the Mabett or Ford, will not sit right on a Lobo.

Why would Ford do this? I have no idea, should probably ask that Blundo guy. I would have thought they could have easily kept the flap area the same and still tapered the design into the unique Lobo, sweeping rear look.

Go out and have a look at your stock bumper, you'll see the obvious difference and understand why the molded flaps simply won't work on a Lobo.

Any of the existing molded designs will not work on the rear of the Lobo. The shape was changed on the Lobo rear bumper and will require mfgs to produce a new mold.

Crude sketch on the basic profile difference.

Thanks for posting the pics. Flat rear mudflaps from Tuffskinz is what I ultimately used, but I am hopeful that one of these companies will create a molded version to fit the Lobo. I think they look better than the flat ones. Cheers.
