I haven't pulled anything with mine, yet, and only took one long road trip with it. Mileage was about 33 mpg. I would expect you would lose another 5 mpg from the weight. I would offer to ride it for you, but my back just can't handle it anymore. I got rid of my Fatboy 13 years ago, but I still miss riding it!

'23 Tremor towing an Aluma MC10 with either my Fatboy or the Ultra Classic suffered no real loss in MPG, that's to say maybe 2 MPG towing on I-40 through the mountains in TN and NC

You have a Hybrid so perhaps my answer means nothing. It is an answer nonetheless

I had an Aluma MC10, which is a very lightweight trailer, and easy to pull through the wind. I pulled mine with a HHR Panel van, and barely saw and mpg loss. I expect the same with the Maverick. Probably 15-20% loss over being empty.

Well from my perspective, you already have the truck, you already have the motorcycle. You want to haul the motorcycle on a trailer to be purchased. So at this point in the investment, what difference in a little loss of mpg going to matter in the equation? To me it would be irrelevant in the scheme of things, it's going to be what it's going to be. Be safe, live on and be happy and have a good time in your travel.

It will depend on : what type of trailer (enclosed or flat) and where you tow. I’ve got a 6 x 12 enclosed trailer. Mpg drops by about 1/3 ( from 25 to approx 17) but that’s mostly highway without a ton of hills.

What a strange question. Not about MPG in general but specific to towing a motorbike. Your MPG will tank to 2 MPG. What a joke.
There's nothing wrong with the OP's question. I just read 4 pages on what's the best windshield wiper fluid so this thread was kind of a relief. :ROFLMAO:

You'll get middle to high 20's for MPG if you keep it around 65 MPH or a little slower.

Towing a zero turn mower on a regular utility trailer drops my mileage to the teens. I'd expect a big bike to be worse.

So in July while on vacation I bought a 2023 Street Bob and towed it home to Texas from Ohio, I rented a UHaul 5x9 open trailer. Between the Bike, trailer, my wife, and luggage, we had to be at the 2000 lb limit. Coming west on I70then south in Illinois and Missouri, Arkansas and then Texas. Drove the whole thing in one shot, midday temperature reached 100 degrees fahrenheit, I drove in normal mode as that seemed better than tow mode. I never went over 65mph, truck temperature never went above normal, Ohio to southern Illinois the truck showed 27mpg on average, when I got down on the Mississippi delta and the rest on the way home it dropped down to 20mpg, the last tank showed 23mpg. The truck performed really well and never really felt like it was struggling with the weight. Overall I was really pleased considering it is a 2wd hybrid.
