Still waiting on my hybrid out here but I'm trying to do some planning. What kind of mileage do you guys get on the highway if you're going 70-75? I'm in Texas and the average for my weekly long drive commute is between 70 and 75.

I purchased my Hybrid Maverick primarily for my (6) 1000 mile fishing trips a year in order to keep the miles off my other daily drivers. Each trip is about ~85% 70-80 mph (mostly 70 mph speed limit) and on the 3 trips so far this year I’ve averaged just over 40 mph on each trip without trying. My non-trip everyday mileage hovers around 45 mpg...

Good luck

.

The MPG for my Hybrid drops noticeably above 60-65. I haven’t tracked the number for that speed specifically. I only track my total MPG (36 ish).

But you will notice the hybrid benefit is much better below 60 MPH.

I get about 38-39 mpg at 70 mph and 25-29 mpg while towing (about 1500 pounds) at 70 mph. If I drop the speed to 65 the mpg's increase by 3-5.

I commute 60 miles per day and I typically get around 36-38 mpg. I typically drive 72-75mph most of it is hwy miles. Usually have 3-5 miles per trip that is electric only. I am still breaking in my hybrid since it only has 2000 miles on it.

I will be doing 320 miles in 2 days which comes out to similar to you pistons. It's at about 70 the whole way.

I'm just thinking through things. I get 30-32 mpg with my jetta I have now, and it may not really make a big difference to have the hybrid setup.

Keep it cruising at 70 and you will get 35ish. A headwind can knock your mpg down tho. Above 75 you lose efficiency quick.

I live in st Pete and frequently drive to port Charlotte (about 86 mile commute) Keep in mind there is stop and go traffic plus I remain around 65mph, but I get 44-52 mpg.

I get between 42-50 mpg doing 70 with some bursts up to 75, and that's no lie.

Big difference, though, with the hybrid you get much more range on a tank because you're using the gasoline engine only part of the time.
