Is the variance significant from specimen to specimen of the same build?

I checked my first tank, and the pump/odometer and maverick agreed to within less than 1%.

A month ago, I set all the tires to exactly 36 cold with an electric pump (last year's Black Friday toy; uses my 18v batteries and you simply set to desired psi!), and the Maverick agreed with the pressure.

I set the ACC on the freeway on a straight stretch, and the Maverick and Waze (which uses GPS to calculate) agreed that I was going 75.

Should I be complaining that I don't get to play with the settings?

No. Don't complain. Mine was off by 12% to 15%. Indicated much higher than actual. Now I hover between 2.5% over and under.

I have done this a number of times and at first I thought it was working sometimes and not working other times. I later found out that it was working every time but not always displaying.

So. Here are two tips.
After you press and hold the OK button you need to press the start button WITHOUT starting the truck. In order to do that simply keep your foot off the brake. Keep holding the OK button until "ET" lights up in the cluster.

Then, you may have to clear the Seat belt and other warning messages just like you would when getting ready to drive. At this point you are in Engineering Test mode BUT you may not be able to see the display.

To rectify that press the "Hamburger stack" button
1751928005443-ko.webp
.

Then, use the OK button (downward) a number of times to move through many other data points.

Finally you will get to the AFE adjustment page.
Tried all these instructions multiple times and nothing.
No matter how long I hold the “ok” button without starting the truck I get no ET light.
I guess I will just deal with it not being accurate “like every other Ford I have had” and just do the calculation myself for the true MPG.

Sorry. If you ever find yourself driving through the Baltimore/DC area give me a shout.

I think the consensus here on the MPG's computed was that at least all the '22-
'24's were off about the same amount. One hand calculated tank is not really enough to say you're that accurate. Just too many fill up variables between pumps, environment, etc. even at same pump over time.

25" Lariat hybrid, here is what I've found.

The ET symbol doesn't always show up, when it does, it's between the compass heading and the Park Brake symbol near the top of screen.

1-Enter vehicle and close door. Seatbelt on/off doesn't matter.
2-Press and hold down the OK button. Then press the START button and hold both down for 5 seconds at least. Remember you may may not see the ET.
*If it does show up(seems to be 3-4 seconds) release the buttons and follow step 4.
4-Release both buttons. Then push OK to clear the Seatbelt, Parking Brake & Accessory Info screens.
5-Press the HAMBURGER BUTTON ONCE and release.
6-Press DOWN on the TOGGLE SWITCH once and you'll be in the ET mode.
Scroll through the menu using the toggle up/down.
*If you press the toggle switch UP instead, you'll still be in the ET mode but it will be the bottom of the list (quicker if you just want to see the battery charge state, as that is near bottom).
7-To exit ET mode, just shut off as normal.

Thanks for the tips Glenn, still no ET mode.
Held both buttons for well over the 5 seconds, cleared the seatbelt and other warnings with the OK button, hit the hamburger button once and the EV coach comes up use OK button to scroll down and it only goes through the screens I chose to have in the optional window.

Watching a posters video on it - but I don't recall if 24 or 25 pushbutton start. Likely the same.
Lock all the rear seat belts, and your belt - so no belt warning to even see.
Turn off whatever else would normally cause an alert popup - EPB, Auto-hold, ect.
Door closed.
Hold the OK button.
Hit the Start with brake pressed (for keyed start, you only need On mode, but there isn't an On mode for pushbutton start, therefore you need to start) for normal amount of time. Just like a key turn isn't held in Start position.
Once started keep holding OK for 5 seconds - ET can show up while holding OK button, may need longer than 5.

No way your exact trim is different than others - unless you have a glitch. Which would be interesting to get help from dealer on.

I have not found a way to turn off the seatbelt notification for the front seat.
It shows up even if the belt is on and you have to hit ok for it to disappear.
Tried these steps and still no ET.
Thanks for trying.

You mean on the 25MY - if it's buckled it doesn't just disappear on it's own?

NO. Do NOT press the brake. To get to the ON (but not start) mode you press the start button WITHOUT the brake.

Maybe I should do a video.

I have done it both ways without success, foot on brake and starting to e truck and no foot on the brake so it just goes to accessory, both while holding the ok button for well over 5 seconds.
Have also tried to hold the engine start button for well over 5 seconds again with the ok button pressed.
Still does not go into ET.

Maybe I haven’t waited long enough, seems like it stays on for quite a while.
I will try it again and see if that goes out.

Only 2 states. Accessory Mode & Started - using the manual terms. So more of a mixed mode.
Keyed has 3.
