Moving Queen Mattress?

Hey,
How do you just strap down a mattress? I have a trifold tonneau and there's no where to tie down the straps! Any ideas?

You'll need to take off your tonneau cover. You'll need to do that for all oversize loads. If you were planning to keep it on and put the mattress on top of it then the only strap points are your wheel wells or frame.

Can't you just thread the straps over the bed rails then close the cover, cinch the straps up on the mattress and call it good ?

I have moved all size mattresses with my hard shell cover on my S10.
You should protect the mattress with a moving blanket between the cover and mattress.
You have to clip 2 rachet straps to the frame, 1 well behind the rear tires, the other behind the cab.
Then, keep it under 80 on the way to the new location.

Buy some of the flat ratchet straps, open the trifold hook them to tie down points. Then close cover lay mattress on cover and then attach ratchet straps back together and walla!. You may have to combine 2 straps together to get ratchets accessable. Use tape or zip ties to hold hooks into tie down points

Just take the cover off and then move the mattress. Or fold it up and then move the mattress. Or find someone that doesn't have or mind taking their tonneau cover off, borrow their truck, and move the mattress. Lots of options!!

Just load it on the roof and tie it with a couple of pieces of old kite string, I see them transported like that all the time.

Buy a mattress in a box if it works for you. We purchased three new beds for a remote property. They are all memory foam and extremely comfortable for us. They all came in a box as well as the platforms that were half size also. Maverick would work great - delivery even better.

I am late to this thread but here is my king sized move before I bought my tonneau cover. But I bet you could just fold up the panels to expose the tie downs.

I added a set of Elevate TS rails when I installed my Bakflip Mx4 cover, so I could lay something on top and still have tie-down points.
