This is a first world, finally got my Mav problem, but is there a way to set a drive mode as the default? I prefer eco mode on my truck and pretty much drive in it exclusively. Can it be set to start in that mode or am I destined to the monotony of pushing the mode button 4 times every time I start the engine?

For those that aren't blessed with the ability to detect sarcasm, there is a lot of it in this post. I would like to know if there is a way to set a default mode.

There is not in software.

If you're somewhat electromechanically savvy there's a thread/video on using some timed relay modules to automatically simulate the button presses on startup.

I think Ford should have at least set the eco setting 2nd instead of 4th, I do like to use it, but sometimes forget & I hope the button doesn't wear out prematurely because of the extra use.

Here's the video mentioned above.

Also, I'll tell you that many of us have changed from Eco to Slippery. Shift points are much lower and it improves mileage over Eco. I went from 24.0 around town to 26.5.
