I just installed a Wolfbox G900 Pro last night, I got it because I felt the factory mirror is too small and I wanted a dashcam so this would fit both needs. I've only driven twice since but I find it very distracting, the wide angle of the camera makes it even worse with the constant motion I wouldn't normally see. That and I feel like I can't judge distance to cars behind me, the camera is so wide that cars not far back from me are tiny little specs on the screen.

Anyone else feel this way? will I get used to it or should I just return it?

Those are valid concerns I have the same WolfBox installed and i absolutely love it - yes it does takes some getting use to and you should check your side mirrors to verify the distance of the vehicles behind you but the benefits in my opinion outweigh the bad

There's a good reason factory backup cameras don't work while in a forward motion.

My dashcam arrives tonight. I didn't think about a screen on/off switch. I want the recording, not as much the live view. We'll see tonight, otherwise an index card taped in place will work for me. Thanks for the heads up.

I got the OEM mount kit yesterday, I would say it's an improvement. with the mount that comes with the g900 pro, that straps to the stock mirror, it has to be offset quite a bit to the left to clear the camera. Now it's about 2 inches to the right and 2 inches back and is much less in my line of sight. I'm gonna give it a week or so and see how it goes.

Op says, “ because I felt the factory mirror is too small.”

I had my wife walk around the Mav, while I was parked.
No blind spots,
Stock center mirror, I’m tall so the stock mirror is up by as high as possible. This helps when looking all around.

I did have to turn my head a bit and lean up just a little. Not an issue.

My Factory 360 cameras work flawlessly when I’m in reverse or under 6 mph going forward.
Or at any speed in the ‘Off Road Mode’
It’s a Tremor thing :’P

I have the rear view camara option on my RAV3 and ended up not liking it. It doesn't have enough fps to be smooth and is too bright in the daytime.

I have a WB850 in our Tremor. The rear camera is mounted top rear window inside the cab. Mounted on the WB universal mount and hard wired. I use the switch on the mirror bottom to disable the display, this does not disable the cameras it will keep recording with the display off.

I installed a similar pelsee, but I did so next to my rear view mirror above the A-Line. It's great to offset the normal rearview but I wouldn't like to use it instead of. Also I find even at its dimist setting it affects night vision, so I turn the screen off most nights.

Great to view cargo while driving as it can adjust down and up for a full bed view.

I hadn't really thought about that. I haven't driven at night yet..
