I noticed when I put my mavy in sand mode the RPM's run pretty high and sliding thru the snow is wicked fun.
Indeed!
I didn't notice any big difference between 'Mud and Ruts' and 'Sand' really though.

Was out in Capitol State Forest for this 'test'. Been around there alot and really like the wilderness on that side of the sound. Usually a lot less people vs. the cascade's!
My neck o' the woods!

We finally got some snow. Surprisingly ODOT didn't pre-coat the roads with 6" of salt so we went from mid 40s to below freezing which caused black ice covered by snow. We're sitting on about 5" currently but I went out with only a few inches and it was pretty much carnage.

Regretted going out actually because I watched numerous people ditch their cars and one came perilously close to ending my Tremor's existence.

That being said - 4WD lock for the win. By far my favorite feature on the Tremor - and well worth the money.

I wish that was on the FX4 too. Nice to be able to be fully in control of what's happening. But I have to say Ford's 'Intelligent AWD' works very well!

Getting front passenger & driver windows tinted, waiting for my tailgate assist to arrive. Then time for exhaust. Any opinion on best exhaust, and will I need a dyno tune after exhaust add on?

Tint is nice, I did that too. Matches the rear windows which looks good!
Tune etc. I don't know about, but the stock system will definitely make up for some changes in flow thru the engine and make sure the A/F ratio is correct. To big changes will throw a code.
Check the engine/tuning forum for info.

Got my FX4 three weeks ago and this was first time I got it off the road. Was gonna do some forest service roads of varying difficulty that I know well to see how the truck and especially the OEM Pirelli's work, but do to a few big tree branches and a small tree fallen over the road in to the area it got cut real short. (My Jeep XJ would climbed over them, but the Mav' definitely wouldn't!)

So drove back out to the parking lot where all the dirt bike and UTV fellas usually unload and ripped it in the 8-9 inches of snow!

The difference driving modes all got tried. And even 'Slippery' managed to go thru most of it. It did however not like the bigger drifts of snow that gotten pushed up from others using the lot, but switching to 'Mud and Ruts' or 'Sand' disable the traction control (mostly) and give a must faster throttle input and then I could just plow thru and was easy to do donuts and drifting sideways.

The tires worked much better than this forum made them sound like in the snow and will stay on for awhile.

I've got factory Continental tires on my hybrid. Had a few icy days slippery mode handled it well!

My bad. just got my mav. Haven't hit the snow yet. I live around lots of it and I will.
Was so excited about finally obtaining my mav lariat, so after I read the snow post. It inspired me to say something since I can't converse about snow plowing yet.lol.
