I tried 91, no ethanol. I ran a tank to rid the tank of 87. Used 91 as stated. Went on a 869 mile trip at speeds of 55, 60 and 70. Some city driving and other starting and stopping. The mileage indicator in the vehicle showed 36.5 mpg. The actual calculated was 34.6. So it was off by 1.9 or lets say 2 mpg.

I will next do the same or very similar trip with 87 E10. Will see how it compares.

You will not see an appreciable difference either way - one that could be related to the use of 91 over 87.

Using 87 causes approximately a 10% loss in power to the EB, but does not have the same impact on fuel economy.

Probably not much difference, but some. I will be fun to test. We will see. I do know it takes 28% more alcohol to product the same energy as gas. That is if you use straight alcohol.

The biggest result is 34.6 mpg. Way more than the EPA estimate.

I did this test a couple years ago & have it posted somewhere, going from 91 no E to 87E10 I dropped approx 3 mpg. I did the test on a 210 mile loop. same route same weather.

I run 87 gas in my 23 XL Hybrid with the green driving mode and get over 42 MPG . Colorado gas has 10% ethanol. This is driving in town and county roads, I stay off the I 25 parking lot as much as possible. I love my Maverick. Looking back I wished I ordered the XLT model .. the salesman had me order the XL cause of the chip shortage/covid issues.
The XL model Maverick has the ugliest wheels ford ever made. LOL

Going from E0 91 to E10 87 should result in about an average 2 mpg loss, in duplicate conditions (which never happens...). Higher loads/heat will bump it a bit more.
