I am starting to look at other options and am wondering what the thoughts are on the Corsair are.

Nice ride, its a refined upmarket Escape. I researched them prior to ordering a Maverick. But much more money, especially if you load on the option packages.

It is only about 3k more than my maverick build with the way that I want it configured.
Bsse model with a few options.

I like it, but it is more money. I was looking at it hard until Maverick came up and I started getting practical. But maybe it is available.

My thought....the Corsair does nothing for my "automotive passion". Bland. But if you like it, go for it.

I've rented the Corsair before. I love it. If you want an SUV, go for it. I need a truck occasionally, so I decided to go Maverick Lariat Lux.

Nice but it’s not a truck.

You think the wait/delay times on the Maverick are irksome? Order a Corsair to really try your patience..

Based on a chat with someone held in high regard on this forum, he said 3-4 months,

Good looking vehicle. Sure is a lot nicer than a maverick too. If you don’t need an open bed, why not. It’s surely worth the 3k more.

The closest SUV competitor to the Maverick is the Explorer IMO. They are virtually identical in length and pretty similar in size to a Maverick with a hard top over the bed, the 2.3 ecoboost is really just a stroked 2.0 ecoboost, the base interiors are similar feature wise, can tow what the Mav can, and a base one will run you $34K but unlike a base Mav does have cruise control and 360 and sync 3 etc.

But if you start looking at compact SUVs, the market is so saturated with options. And you CAN still do pickup stuff in them, you just need a trailer when doing mulch and garden center trips and the like, which isn't the end of the world because trailers are cheap at uhaul.

Personally, I kind of like the Kia Sorento hybrid for example. The hybrid is pretty loaded even in S trim so nothing needed to add, interior is really nice, captains chairs are pimp and you have the fold up seats if you need to haul more than four people and two of those people are kids, 10yr 100K mile warranty is great, and at 37mpg combined is the same fuel economy as a Maverick hybrid, and 2K lb tow capacity is the same. Sorento hybrid is heavier at ~4K lbs, but the 227hp hybrid is up enough on power from the Mav hybrid that acceleration should be similar.

Kias seem to occupy the sweet spot in a lot of market segments. My wife has a soul and loves it.

As for the corsair, there are a ton of competitors in the market and they are all pretty good. It's really just personal preference IMO.

Blue leather interior is optional on the Llncoln Corsair, and looks great. I drove a silver one with the blue. Rides nice, but DANG! $$$

What I like most about the name Corsair? It was also a fancy Edsel model.

I had an Edsel Pacer 4 door. (not so fancy) When the tele-touch transmission buttons located in the center of the steering wheel failed to work, I cut a hole in the floor, and manually shifted with vice grips. YIPES!
