Maverick Test Drive with Hood Bounce

Had to download to see the video...luckily my XL (2WD) doesn't have the hood bounce issue. I wonder how prevalent it is.

Also wonder if that hood deflector is exacerbating the issue...

Had to drive to the airport on I-95 yesterday and the hood bounce wasn't too bad. I had a Bronco Sport and the hood would flex at high speeds. Many of the Sport owners had this same issue.

I would guess fairly high because the hood is light weight. Today was the first time I noticed it, around 75mph. I am going to mess around with the rubber mounts under the hood. I also have a hood deflector, and I am uncertain if that makes a difference.

Small world because I was I95 (in MD) and noticed my hood flexing/bouncing today.

I just had a weekend trip from Chicago to just South of Louisville...mostly travelling at 80mph with no hood bounce.

Very similar shimmer to my bronco sport, although somewhat more pronounced. Wonder if it’s the Maverick’s hood design.

No hood deflector...adjusting your knobs may help with the chick magnet issue too...

This has been a HUGE issue for the 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander as well. However, what you show in this video pales in comparison to what I experienced in my test drive with the Outlander. RECALL!!

As for the Mavericks in production...fix it by FIXING IT.
