  1. Flated inflatable topper installed on Maverick First Edition

I don’t think there was any impact to mpg…hard to tell though as the bed was loaded down with gear. Less wind noise than the tonneau cover. I have the factory cover that came with the First Edition and if you open the back window you can hear it flapping around a little. This topper was...
  2. Flated inflatable topper installed on Maverick First Edition

Made it from Chicago to Leslie, Arkansas. Topper did great, was Olof the whole way at both highway speeds and on twisty back roads. Got my tent set up and ready for a good nights sleep.
  3. Flated inflatable topper installed on Maverick First Edition

I’d debated getting that one, but wanted the extra height and side windows.
  4. Flated inflatable topper installed on Maverick First Edition

The company mentioned they are developing a camping extension for the Maverick topper…
  5. Flated inflatable topper installed on Maverick First Edition

Haven’t been down there in the Maverick yet…did it several year ago with my wife’s Mercedes GLC she had at the time. Was lots of fun! There’s lots of great roads in that area.
  6. Flated inflatable topper installed on Maverick First Edition

Seems very easy to install/uninstall even on my own. 3 tie downs on each side of the bed. I noticed a couple of air gaps where the bed rails shape make it difficult to form a seal. I’ve bought some weather stripping to seal that up. Going to do that tomorrow before the drive to Arkansas on Friday.

  8. Flated inflatable topper installed on Maverick First Edition

I’m originally from Scotland so miss the hills and curvy roads…everything is so straight and flat here!
  9. Flated inflatable topper installed on Maverick First Edition

I received the Flated @FLATED HQ topper yesterday, unfortunately it was snowing so couldn’t install right away. Weather was better this afternoon so I gave it a shot. Install was relatively easy and was able to handle the process on my own. The only piece I haven’t installed yet is the rear...
  10. Chicago to Port Canaveral and back again

I have a special “North Pole Edition” lol
  11. Chicago to Port Canaveral and back again

This one is definitely more comfortable but that’s more down to the last one being an XL 2WD and the FE is a Lariat AWD with adaptive cruise control and heated seats.
  12. Chicago to Port Canaveral and back again

Oh that sounds like fun! The cruise was OK…our first since Covid and the service was a little sub-par as was the entertainment. They also had QR codes in the restaurants for the menus which meant you had to have your phone with you…
  13. Chicago to Port Canaveral and back again

Just drove our FE to Port Canaveral and back for a cruise…only saw 4 other Mavericks on the entire trip, including 1 I spotted when walking around Puerto Rico! The FE was very comfortable for the extended period. Took 2 days to drive down and the same on the return andif my wife hadn’t demanded...
  14. RAPID RED Maverick Photos / Club

Finally got mine! Traded in the A51 XL 2WD Ecoboost for my original order. The AWD seems peppier than the 2WD especially from stationary. Overall the Lariat is a much more refined vehicle than the XL. Time to update my signature…
