I believe one of the Long MacArthur videos said that you can change your dealership (as long as you have your order number info) if you’re getting the run around from that dealership don’t use them. Go check out a Long MacArthur video (Tim Bartz does them) and In one of his videos I believe he mentioned that they can even have it drop shipped to your local dealer and he should tell you how to change your order if you decide to (to either him or another dealer near you). Worth checking out. If my dealer had jerked me around I would have given them a call, and either fixed the relationship or just gone somewhere else. It’s our money to spend, even if it’s a hot item. Remember, by our actions and inactions we are teaching people how to treat us. If someone isn’t treating you the way you deserve to be treated, then correct them or walk away (sorry, as a Vietnam Veteran I have expectations on how I expect and allow people to treat me, it goes back to when I came home to America and had to “explain things” to a lot of people;) my Wife still laughs when I use the term “explain things” to people, it still cracks her up;) that’s why I still love her and like buying her things, like a brand new 2022 Ford Maverick XLT AWD with moon roof, Luxury Package etc;) in Hot Pepper Red

I don't understand why some "buyers" are submitting multiple reservations for the same vehicle. There is no "lottery" to get there first. It has been stated numerous times that Ford builds specific models based on availability of parts. Tim Bartz stated that very clearly in one of his videos (using the Bronco as an example as to how Ford determines what to build).

For example, if you are ordering a model, and adding a spray in bed liner, that vehicle will be delayed, as spray in bed liners are only being built if ordered as part of a package. making more reservations with the add on will not get your vehicle produced any quicker.

For those that have questions about ordering and availability, follow Tim Bartz at Long McArthur.

I ordered a loaded Lariat First Edition in Rapid Red on 15 June. That build is delayed due to the availability of the color, as the Bronco also uses the same Rapid Red in its production. Seeing that Rapid Red is a 2021 color only for the Bronco, I would expect to see orders for Rapid Red Maverick being pulled for late November - early December builds(?)

In my case, Reservation 1 did not result in a dealer getting back to me, they still haven't actually.
Reservation 2 revealed that that particular dealer had ridiculous fees and no way around them.
My third reservation will be the one that converts to an actual order as it will be with Granger. I did not learn about Granger's deal on the Maverick until I had joined this forum, in which case I already submitted the first two reservations. I'm not doing it as a lottery game as you're suggesting. I'm doing it by trail and error, as well as learning new info. I didn't have initially.

So, when all said and done, I'll have three reservations and only one order. I suspect I'm not the only one like this.

Maybe I was just fortunate. I went to Long McArthur, although there are other Ford dealers closer. I am about 50 miles from them, and when I placed a reservation through the Ford web site, I was contacted, and had my order approved with an acknowledgment email, within 36 hours. No upfront fees, no hassle, just a very smooth process working with them.

It sucks that there are dealers out there with their hands in your pocket before you even buy a vehicle.

No. you can go directly to a dealer and order.
I thought the same but the salesperson actually had to put in a reservation to my specs or Ford would not take the order.

Let's not forget dealer stock orders and customers ordering directly from dealers, not using the reservation system. I think current actual orders are much higher than 40-45k.
I stopped by a local dealership in NC and placed an order on July 12. Production scheduled week of October 4. I did not make a reservation.

" Some reservations have converted to orders, but Ford is not releasing details yet. "
How can I be sure my Reservation has been converted to an Order? All I have after my visit to my local Ford dealer (13 August) is a Preview Order signed by me, but NOTHING official from Ford at all. :-(
