With the recent announcement that Ford has surpassed 100k reservations for the Maverick, how many orders/reservations have YOU placed? Please share your results, as I'm curious to see the results of our smaller, enthusiast based sample.

Current reservation to order conversion rate as of 400 voters: 73%
(316 orders from 430 reservations)

If you're unsure how to vote, share your scenario below and we'll help guide you in the right direction ;)
1 reservation, took a few days (over a weekend) for the dealer response. But within a week we met and I had my questions answered, so I made the firm order.

I did my build on Ford.com, selected a Ford dealer, and went in yesterday and placed my order. I anticipated in being a huge pain in the A$$, but it was fairly pain free. I also liked the sales rep I dealt with.

So we now have 464 votes in this poll as of 8/28, and the results show:

8% of those that answered the reservation options having to place 3 or more reservations

4.3% of those that answered they have ordered placing 2 or more orders

Keeping in mind we are on an enthusiast forum where members are more likely to be actively involved in both the discussion here, and their buying process overall - I'd say those are fairly small. In the general public, they could easily be half those % points as well.

All the talk about people placing multiple orders creating some sort of ghost scheduling issues, impacting others that are waiting for scheduling appears to just be a vocal handful then? Most dealt with 1-2 dealers and placed a single order in the queue.

Edit - also wanted to mention, there are 532 total reservations tallied (Based on those who voted for 1,2,3 or 4 - I also doubled the # of 4 or more to 80 in this number). We then have 402 total unique orders indicated. Everyone seems to think the 100K reservations is representing just 35-40K actual orders, but right here in our very own poll we are converting at 75.5%!

Now, we all know the forum doesn't represent the general buying public, but a sample of 464 users does give us a general insight into the reserveration to order rate. Given we do know that Bronco reservations converted to orders at a rate above 60% (look it up!), is there any reason to think the Maverick isn't similar, at least above 50% overall?

Excellent points.

Something interesting I've found is that as of today, we have 3,222 members in total on this forum.
Ford Maverick POLL: How many Maverick orders / reservations have YOU placed? 1630171910824

So even if every individual from our forum submitted one of those reservations, we still only represent ~3% of the total reservations that Ford has received. Figuring in that less than 500 have responded in this much time and we represent a measly ~0.5%. I just think our reservation to order rate will be extremely skewed compared to Ford's overall.

Well when I first attempted to place a reservation I did the "Build your Maverick" and when I had the build complete I then attempted to do a reservation to the Frisco TX dealership. For some reason it picked a different dealership. So I tried again and again and it always picked the wrong dealership.

So there I was with five reservations to the same wrong dealership.

I made a phone appointment with the Frisco TX dealership to order my Maverick.

Before I arrived I was able to send a reservation to them by just clicking the reservation button and selecting the Frisco Dealership. Somehow the initial problem was doing the Build first then trying to do the reservation.

Went to the Frisco TX dealership and ordered my Maverick.

I wonder if this poll needs another category how many people "have you tried to make a Reservation?"

I tried a couple of weeks ago, still waiting on the ORDER.

Probably time for a new dealer?

I ordered my Maverick with Chapman then a reservation online of the exact same build which got sent to my local dealer out of curiosity.

Local dealer calls me with my online reservation sent from Ford. I said I wanted to know what the out the door price would be. He said he would get back to me with the price then goes ahead and orders it.

He gets back to me with the out the door price and it’s 4K more than what Chapman is charging me.

So now there is an xtra order confirmation made. My local dealer said they will keep it and sell it on their lot.

Placed reservation, and maybe 2 weeks later, got notice from dealer. Went in, placed order and got confirmation same day, when I eventually got home! Only thing I did, was drop the delayed splash guards at the time. Now, it looks as if the hard trifold tonneau cover is gonna slow things down! Guess I’ll find out Thursday.

Since I had a slightly different experience I might as well add my 2 cents. I made reservation, day later I got email from closest dealer. This is email I recieved:

We understand the reasons people shop online. Pricing is often one of the main reasons. We want to win your business. We understand that competitive pricing, combined with strong inventory and stellar customer service are key.
In order to get you the best price we need two keys pieces of information from you:

1. Share with us your best approximation of the car you are looking for. The more detail the better!

2. Share with us how soon you can reasonably make a purchase. Pricing estimates are more accurate (and aggressive) the sooner you are buying because we know what incentives we can offer and what sales goals YOU can help us achieve!

Let’s make this process quick and painless.

Please also remember, xxxxxx Ford has been around for 65 years for a reason!

Thank you so much for your time xxxxxxx.

I hope to hear from you shortly,

I was like OK, so I made reservation and they're asking me for the exact same information I told Ford. So either Ford is weird with telling the dealer, or I'm going to be stuck in email template BS. Next day I just went to dealer, found manager and did my order in person. Got Ford order email confirmation before I got home.

Moral of the story is, if you are going to buy the truck, get your butt to the dealer, do not dilly dally with email crap.
