FORD cannot meet demand for Maverick in North America so what will happen as sales in South America (Argentina and Brazil) comes on line. I see a two rear wait in the future.
Ford originally estimated demand would be 100k-110k Mavericks per year. That is what Bronco Sport sales are looking like. There is capacity for same for Maverick in Hermosillo. They are still making strides towards that monthly capacity.

Ford also happens to have manufacturing plants in both Argentina and Brazil and you can bet they will add lines to build Mavericks at 1 or both plants to supply Argentina & Brazil orders.

Please. Stop. Think. Be positive. Don't listen to the idiots. We are living in a wonderful time where a hiccup causes hysteria.

Nowhere in the history of automaking has a car producer not been able to make enough vehicles for a hugely popular model. It's what they do.

Please go talk to someone in just about any business. There is a global supply chain crisis happening due the Covid shutting down production of a multitude of items world wide. It is affecting all cars, not just the one you want.

In due time, things will straighten out and everyone can buy 12 Mavericks each. Just watch.

Tell that to the folks waiting a year and a half for a Bronco
The full sized bronco is a different model, size, production facility, constraints and issues, i.e. the bronco had trouble with a removable hard shell roof leak. The bronco sport badlands was delayed due to a sunroof and the two tone paint. You’re comparing apples to oranges and calling it lemonade.

I own a more than fair amount of Ford stock since 2008 lol, I have sat languishing at $2,3,4,5, 6 ,8 dollars per share for years ,then about 2 years ago they cut out the dividend. I am still holding every share. It is just starting to act decent ! LETS HOPE there car building ability is a little more timely than their stock performance. On that note I am headed to the liquor store :)

I am waiting since early July. No production date. Simple Hybrid Lariat with Lux Package no add-ons. I am told i should have it late April. If that is your idea of meeting customer demanded lets get another continent in line and see where the line ends.
Nothing simple about it, a lariat with the luxury package has a ton more components that could fall under constraints.

Depends on your definition of meeting demand. If you mean placing an order in the very first year of production, during a severe supply shortage that’s impacted all auto manufacturers, and getting a vehicle into production within the first four months, just as Ford is trying to ramp up production from 4-5k per month to 9-10k per month, then maybe you have a point. I guess.

Ford may just as easily, under the same circumstances consider a customer order with all of the options that are included in the Maverick Lariat/Luxury package, getting into production the first year of production but having to wait until production months 5-7, as meeting demand.

Ford would meet my individual demand, if I placed an order for the 2022 model year and Ford did in fact deliver the 2022 model year vehicle I ordered. If I was rolled into the 2023 model year, I would feel as though Ford did not meet my demand.

Your right it is many months into production (the September date was not what was originally advertised for production it was the delivery date) and not a single retail hybrid (the standard for the Maverick) has left Mexico. The only thing new about the Atkinson engine is that Ford took over production. eCVT is not new either, I have both of them on my 2021 Escape Titanium Hybrid. They didn’t complete the government paperwork so there sitting in Mexico with the leaking Bronco roofs. Neither one is waiting on chips in order to ship. We have a difference of opinion on FORD’s performance - mine comes as a customer and stockholder. Enough said - only time will tell.
Sorry but that’s not true. Full sized Broncos, (I.e. the ones with the leaky roof) are not manufactured in Mexico.

Same church wrong pew
Nope different church, located in a different country, different denomination and forget about the pew. The Full Sized Ford Bronco is nothing like the Maverick truck. Last I checked you can’t take the top off a Maverick Truck, lol. Ford will be able to make these simple trucks fast, once they get up and running. The complicated part is getting all of the components:

Had not seen that. It does say Ford will maintain production in Argentina and Uruguay, so still 2 possibilities for production of Maverick there instead of expecting Hermosillo to supply South America.
Like all Mavericks, the Brazilian version of the pickup is produced at the Ford Hermosillo Assembly Plant in Mexico and is one of a number of Blue Oval vehicles set to be imported into the South American country, a list that already includes the Ford Mustang, Ford Kuga (Escape), 2021 Ford Bronco Sport, 2021 Ford F-150, and F-150 Raptor. Meanwhile, Ford is investing $580 million in the Ford Pacheco Assembly Plant in Argentina to prepare it for the production of the next-generation 2023 Ford Ranger. Source is FORD AUTHORITY web site,

do you have a link for that information Ford IS producing a Brazilian version Maverick to export from Mexico? I have not seen that anywhere. AFAIK, they only build US version Bronco Sport & Mavericks at Hermosillo right now.

All Mavericks will be imported from Mexico. So will the Bronco Sport.
