The crappy 700+ hp, 18” of suspension travel, loaded, Level 2 $100k TRX? It pares well with my Viper, original Shelby, original CJ and Boss cars, Pantera, etc. and is absolutely on par with my Raptor....

But keep driving your stuff, I’m sure you’ll be just fine.

;)

.
I’ll let you slide on the Dodge/Ram since you said you have a Raptor. I’m a firm believer Ford makes Trucks the other guys just Pickups.

I'm very grateful that your will "let me slide" LOLLLLLLL

Comparing my Raptor and TRX is like loving 2 children, you love them both equally, but they are different people.

Some things I like more on one platform than the other., more nits than anything,,

I purchased my first GT500 in ~1978... I literally have scars in my back from pulling the motor and trans on a gravel driveway when I did the first 454-MR swap.... ,,

It's all good....

Ford Maverick Maverick on a U-Haul Trailer.... IMG_0782

I rented a UHaul trailer for $15 a day to pick up a motorcycle. I asked about checking tire pressures. The guy says, no don’t worry about that, we check them before we send the rental out. 600 miles later, I do a cursory trailer check to check on the hitch, safety chains, tire temps, wheel hub temps, etc. And one tire was hot, while the other was cold. So I pull out my air pump and check the pressures; the left tire was at 16 psi and the right tire was at 52 psi.

👍 You can't beat $15 trailer rental from U-Haul.
I used 'Canyon Dancer' for my handlebars. Never a problem.

Ford Maverick Maverick on a U-Haul Trailer.... IMG_0916

You’ll probably want some context…..
I put 255/65R17 tires on my Maverick at 83 miles. I put a 2” spacer lift on it at 150 miles. At 220 miles, I started on a 2-day, 1700 mile round trip to pick up a motorcycle: 850 miles empty, 850 miles loaded. Typical cruising speed (loaded and unloaded) was 80 mph. Lowest cruising speed was 70 mph. Fastest speed was occasional trips to 85-88 mph for passing. The 255 tires are 4% larger circumference than stock (77 mph indicated speed reads 80 mph actual speed on gps radar detector). So, mileage should be reading 14.8 on trip computer, but those are typically over-optimistic.
Actual trip milage was 1,736 miles. Actual fuel use was 121.1 gallons. Actual fuel economy was 14.34 mpg. The engine and transmission handled the task just fine. Engine would pull 80 mph in high gear at ~2,100 rpm at 15 mpg. As you come into a grade, it would hold steady at 80 mph until about 3% grade, when the instant economy meter was reading 8 mpg, then it would shift down to 7th and pull up to 5% grades at 80 mph and ~2,800 rpm. The steepest hills I found were 6% grade and that would require 6th gear and ~3,500 rpm.

And yes, I tried driving chill to see what kind of mileage I could get. It would read about 22 mpg at 65 mph on flat ground empty and 21 mpg at 65 mph on flat ground loaded. Once you throw in some hills and bends and cross winds, 65 mph would probably net around 19 mpg for a trip, but that is on a lift and oversized tires.

Thanks! I'm looking at a 4 hour trip empty then the same back with bike in tow. Stock tires. Gives me a good idea
