Maverick license plate

I had a chance to drive behind a Maverick yesterday. I noticed for the first time that the rear license plate is offset.
Being the extremely symmetrical peson that I am, it actually made me twitch! But I'll still take my truck when it shows up

I know! I'm the same way. Its the only place even you have a trailer hitch.

My $0.02...
If I opt to use my hitch hauler on a trip, the license plate ends up being blocked from the view of traffic/speed cameras. Especially the ones in Maryland where they create a 1/4 mile "construction" zone where nothing is being done and the porta-potty at a 45 degree angle to the lane with the camera mounted on the opposite side from traffic snaps photos all day. Cameras are typically in the median from my experience so... I'm OK with the license plate where it is!

Same with toll roads, one thing that is a huge benefit of the maverick imo

I don't mind the offset, and at least they have nice little bump outs for exactly where to mount the plate. Not that that little detail stopped the geniuses who took care of my UK light conversion from mounting it on the left side where there is no light.

The Jeep Wrangler has the plate on the left.

I like the offset plate. It’s the first thing my eye goes to when spotting a Mav. out in the wild.

Maybe that is why there are so many rear end collisions is people are trying to figure out why the license plate is where it is. I always thought it was because people were trying to figure what the vehicle was and trying to read the name stamped in the tailgate. Another reason why people are putting the colored letters in the Maverick name.
