Interesting point of view. Since your date is set why do all the things you do to remain healthy and prolong your life? You could play Russian roulette with all chambers filled and survive correct? I do not subscribe to the predetermined demise theory. But if you do I support your belief.

I was doing a scramble Friday on a cliff.
I broke my own rule and went up while it was wet. I fell, nice big contusion on my right hip.
I bounced, second hit was on my right shoulder. I slightly stretched the rotator cuff.

I worked all day Saturday, iced the shoulder and rested Sunday.
I worked all day today, real work, I’m not a desk jockey.

I plan to be on that cliff tomorrow,
Evidently Bones don’t break so easy if you make sure your bone density is good.

It’s not about living longer, it’s about living healthy right up to the end.

I am not fat, fat is sick, period.
I’m 67 and 3/4’s
On no meds.
Everything wirks.
Average BP is 107/70 resting pulse 68
This month.

I would love to see you live to 140. As for myself, no thanks. I don't want to outlive every I know and everyone my children knew. To each their own. I'm happy being fat, old, and I will never go rock climbing .

I wonder why the old order Amish. Hard-working, no TV, organic foods they raise and grow themselves therefore there's no preservatives, no modern medicine.
They don't live much longer than the non-Amish?

Same reason that after 48 years pounding on concrete everyday, climbing up and all over large injection machines I still have both original knees and hips. Yet a friend the same age as me who retired after 37 years in a factory where he spent most of his days sitting watching a monitoring device for an automated line failure then responding to it has had 1 knee and hip replaced and the other 2 are scheduled. Genetics!

Amish deal with a lot more genetic disorders, especially cardiovascular and neurological ones due to Endogamy. The neurosurgical practice my wife works at deals with a lot of Amish patients and the only thing that makes them have an average life expectancy is they generally do not deal with vice type behaviors of indulgences in tobacco, alcohol and excess processed food consumption.

It is definitely a cruising machine, once it gets up to cruising speed. The bucking, shuddering harsh shifts and transmission trying out all of the gears, multiple times and maybe or maybe not in order to get up to cruising speed is another story.

My 2024 AWD Eco Lariat was at its best up near 90 mph.
32 mpg at 85 mph
30 mpg at 70 mph
28 mpg average at 60 mph.
It’s a Turbo thing.
Mixed with a Sweet set of Pirelli’s of course.
