I would caution anyone about buying from this company. I won't go through all the sordid details about my experience buying a kit from them and trying to get support or a refund. Still waiting for the latter despite lodging a formal complaint with their local BBB after weeks of trying to get help. They pretty much ignored that too, which to me was a red flag about the company. After months since buying the kit, I wanted nothing to do with them or their kit and shipped it back on my dime with a final request for a refund. They have my kit and my $600. In hindsight, I should have ordered directly from OEM +. If you have already placed an order with PM, perhaps it will work out for you. I hope so because if it doesn't, don't expect any help or support from them and certainly not a refund based on my experience.

We appreciate the opportunity to clarify this situation. The kit in question was part of a partnership product between Panda Motorworks and OEM+, so ordering from either company would have provided the same product and support options.
Our team, including Sam, offered assistance and testing to help identify and resolve the issue. However, that offer was declined, and instead, the customer chose to send the kit back without an RMA or prior authorization. The kit was returned after being partially installed and handled, which falls outside our stated return and warranty policy.
We wanted to test the kit to find the cause of the problem, especially since no other customers have experienced similar issues. Our goal has always been to support our customers and stand behind our products within our established process and warranty guidelines.

I'll respond once but won't get into a protracted back and forth here. You did at some point suggest the thing to do was send it back and have it tested. But you never provided an RMA or any form of authorization. Same with Sam later who only responded after I had lodged the BBB complaint and said the same thing but conveniently also didn't provide an RMA and I never heard from him again (like you). There seems to be a support group of roughly one there and they're usually on the road and will get back to you, then hear nothing more. Poor to non-existent communication seems to be a signature of your company and after weeks that turned into months, it was exhausting and I was done trying to work with you all. It's the same kit that PM sent me and was handled by a professional installer who couldn't get it to work correctly in my Lariat. I have never in my 67 years on this earth had a company so reluctant to issue a refund and particularly involving hundreds of $$. In the end you have the kit and my money, so win-win for PM at my expense.

Just an update to my order placed threw Panda Motorworks I placed it on 6/28 and received it on 10/27. The install was pretty straightforward, the hardest part for me was unclipping some of the harnesses. I went with the 12" screen upgrade the screen bracket needed a little modification of the side clips, the unit fired rite up and the screen looks amazing compared to the stock one everything is working as it should, but I have no sound coming from the speakers. I went into Forscan to see what it showed and there are 3 DTCs that popped up on the ACM. I have a service ticket with Panda regarding these but have not herd back yet (it's only been 2 days). My suspicion is that it's a bad ACM and not a programming issue, but we will see what they say.

Had I known there would be upgrade kits I might of kept my 22 XLT and bought one but I am a non tech guy so would also need someone to install the kit which I would of been happy to pay for.
Instead I sold the 22 and bought a 25 Lariat but it did cost me an additional $9k to get sync 4 plus the Maverick is 3 years newer, 0 miles and a Lariat.
Worth 9k more, the jury is still out. :)

You made the right choice. It's a no-brainer going from an XLT to a Lariat.

Looks awesome! I'm curious what it's like to grab things from the little well behind the screen now that it's so much taller. I keep my sunglasses and wallet there. Also, does it feel oddly large or does it feel like it fits. Some the the pictures look natural and others look a bit out of place. Thanks for the photo!

I still keep a pair of reading glasses behind it and have no problem grabing them. You have to lean in a bit to see them but i just reach around the screen.Screen size aside Sync 4 wireless is in a huge upgrade over Sync 3 in my opinion.

@Caleb@PandaMotorworks you said to DM you if we wanted information about availability and possible discounts. I've sent you an email and a DM, and I've got radio silence back. This does not do much to prove the people saying don't go to Panda motorworks wrong

Thank you.

I deleted the cubby on the back of the head unit with a Rubigrid from Bulletpoint. I never used it because I found it useless for my needs. I now use it for a wireless phone holder and a dash cam. I also added a 12v outlet back there so I wouldn't have to run cables down the sides.

The head unit is perfect in size. It doesn't interfere with visibility in any way. I know that in some pictures with odd angles it could look huge, but in person it looks just right. I think it looks more factory than the original head unit it came with.

As you can see from the pictures below, I have deleted the cubby completely. 🤷🏼‍♂️
