They raised the price by over $300 đź’€ $1499 for the Sync 3 to 4 and $1800 for the non sync to sync 4 now
right now, 9 AM CDT 6/26/25, it's $649.95 for Sync 3 -> 4 keeping 8" screen
$1209.95 for Sync 3->4 with 12" screen upgrade.

pretty sure that's the original cost of the option that keeps the 8" screen. meaning, to me at least, they could be paying more to get more supply of 12" screens.

Thanks,

What is the first link. It takes me to a used car. Also that display bolts right on?
this question illustrates why a person would buy a kit from Panda that includes instructions, harness and support.

there are DIY threads. if you can DIY, go for it, certainly it's cheaper.

Got it. I don't mind spending more to reduce problems and hassle.

Odd that oemupgrades is charging a different price on all the listings as this site is run by the creator of the product package/service and Panda is a third party seller that’s assisting.

$999 for Sync 3 to 4 with 8”
$1499 for Sync 3 to 4 with 12”

A $300 jump from when I last checked the site.

I wonder if the other retailers distributing the product will bump it too soon. Just odd all around.

I bought the upgrade directly from OEMplusupgrades. My setup is the XLT (aka Sync 2.5). Sam was super helpful and responded to all my noob questions quickly. I have had it running for about a week and here are my impressions:
1. Install was very easy and plug and play. Took me about an hour because I was being real careful with trim pieces.
2. the screen is an amazing upgrade to the 8". not only do you have a lot more screen but the resolution and contrast is so much better.
3. I had to use forscan to enable the ambient lighting in the new APIM.
4. Wireless CarPlay performs much better. connection time is seconds and in some case I'm getting audio from CarPlay before the screen switches over.
5. Temperature is displayed on screen for both the hvac and outside...see pic. when you adjust the fan/temp it shows onscreen same as with what you got.
6. I feel like audio fidelity is better, but I wear hearing aids so take that as you will :)
7. Ford Pass is still working. that setup info is stored somewhere else in some other module. downside is you can't manage those setting from Sync 4. you'd have to reconnect the old ACM and display to make adjustments. Otherwise, I can still remote start, lock/unlock and get telemetry.
8. GPS is enabled. but map updates I don't believe works... for me I don't care since I use CarPlay.
9. For me, I'm very pleased with this setup. no regrets.

What doesn't work:
1. No software upgrades. What you have is what you get. besides, I don't think we'll get many (or any) more updates on older Sync tech so not much of a loss there.
2. connected services won't work since it wasn't an option before

I have not monkeyed with Forscan enough to see what else I can or can't enable. I'll update if/when I can.

lastly, this isn't for everyone. but for those of us that like to tinker and upgrade things that don't have to be upgraded it's perfect. :). I you don't like messing with Forscan or pulling trim panels and messing with electronics, it's not for you.

it looks like you're playing spotify, so it's digital either cached or streamed.

the Ford Connected Audio infotainment is so low on processing power that, yes, I completely believe that sync4 would give a better quality output especially for high bitrate digital music.

Looks bad ass. How does foescan work? I’ve seen the name but no clue what it does nor how to do it.

Would you be kind enough to post a picture of how the rear of the unit looks?

Thanks,

What is the first link. It takes me to a used car. Also that display bolts right on?
[type in 2023 transit 250 and click on info screen 12” there are lots on there
They fit but I understand there’s a little gap on sides
You can also find ACM /APIM also there. Lots of choices
I found if you go to the yards site
Sometimes cheaper then build your harness of buy from Sam
The fun begins

Hey everyone,

We’ve noticed some folks have caught on to the recent price increase, so we wanted to take a moment to explain what’s going on.

There are two main reasons behind the change. First, when we partnered with OEM+ to bring these kits to you, our goal was to get them out fast and at the best possible price. Second, the cost of the OEM Ford screens used in these kits has gone up significantly. Ford recently raised prices on these components, and unfortunately, that increase has carried over to us as well.

We didn’t see this coming, as we’ve been consistently ordering these kits and only recently found out about the spike in cost. Panda even absorbed the first smaller increase without hesitation, because we wanted to keep things accessible for our supporters. But the jump on this latest batch was just too much for us to cover alone.
We truly appreciate your continued support and understanding as we navigate this. Our goal is always to deliver quality products while being transparent with our community.

Thank you,
– The Panda Team
