Maverick Hybrid Dead Until Key Turned On

Ok. Hopefully I can explain this so it makes sense. I haven’t seen anything like this before in this forum so I apologize if it’s said before.

I locked my hybrid XLT overnight. In the morning I tried to unlock it and it was dead. I unlocked my truck manually and got a screen message that said the alarm was going to sound if not turned on. I put the key in and turned it on. Everything was normal after that. Not sure if anyone has had this happen or heard about it. Thanks in advance.

same issue, took it in for deep sleep, dealer did SSM 15725, updated TCU - now goes dark in two days and after driving goes dark immediately after turning off the key, but still starts 800 miles 2023 XL I will post if the dealer finds a cure

Yes. Everything worked fine.

Any alerts in Fordpass (if you use it) about the alarm going off by any chance?

I had the same thing happen a few weeks ago with no indication of deep sleep notifications. My truck was parked at work and wouldn’t respond to pressing the door unlock on the key or key pad. When using the actual key the count down for the alarm started but stopped when the vehicle started. It hasn’t happened again since. I started using the other key but doubt that has anything to do with it not happening again.

No. Nothing popped up in FordPass

Yeah it seems unlikely to be a key issue, these trucks aren't old enough to have dead key fob batteries yet.

Had one or two times where the keypad wouldn't work until I started it again though. Never any issue with the key fob unlock/lock though.
