I might be having electrical issues. . . past tense. . . something definitely went wrong. . . can’t drive it. Waiting on Ford.
No problems there, that's the heated dash option, available with the Antarctica package. 😉

Op I drove with worse because I had too, it's a sensor fault, avoid hitting people with a warning ⚠ message to tell you so. cannot say you will be fine, but if that's it it's scary but minor issue. More than one type of errors I would think computer error, not in your case.

We need context here. Any modifications done or things plugged in? Did something just start a fire behind your dash? What's the story?

Remote started my truck, walked outside to the photo you see. . . It’s been with Ford for two weeks . . . I think they are trying to find the source 🤷🏼‍♂️. . . no modifications. . . I did have the tray above the center console, but that’s just plastic and that actually seemed fine.

Thanks for clarifying.

That is awful! I'm sorry to hear all this. I'd venture out this should be enough to total a vehicle, given the amount of splatter and such, but I've seen some pretty amazing interior stories where they replaced almost everything due to water damage, so who knows... What did insurance estimate it as or are you still waiting for all that mess too?

Oh, it was actually kind of a freak accident. Apparently a piece of road debris must have damaged the wiring harness clips and caused the wire near the tire to get damaged. Actually not a faulty manufacturer error (besides not making more robust connections I suppose). I was skeptical until I asked a guy who works at my firm who used to be a Ford service technician at a dealership. He confirmed that it sounded legit. They provided photos. He also confirmed that there is no real incentive for them to lie about that (ended up not being a warranty issue)

Hey there. I can look into your Maverick’s concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info?
Nice to know that Ford monitors MTC and tries to help when hey can. Thanks.

It's always the "speaker behind the seat", even if it was removed six month prior.

At least that's what the service invoice noted.
That's gotta be the reason 🤣
