I am trying to decide between an over the cab footsie extension or a side slide out footsie! Hey how about an over the cab vista view Lexan sloped for wind efficiency head pocket?

I liked the natural birch color it is epoxied and fiberglassed. You need to seal it / stain it / paint it, but kudos for the DIY project. Curious to see the inside…..
I thought a lot about the footy extensions but decided to go this route after seeing the nomadic moonlander. I did play with some designs with a small over cab space to improve the geometry but the complexity added to the build seemed too much for me. Never built anything like this before.I am trying to decide between an over the cab footsie extension or a side slide out footsie! Yes, I hope to build this and a simple Bevin Skiff to haul on the top.NOw that is what is called design. Nicely done and a delight to see. Thank you and thank you CLC. ( I built two of their boats from plans)
Apology accepted.I’m sorry, that just look so out of place. The only camper if I ever gonna get one is go fast camper one.
Aerodynamic saves the day towing, I have been going 65 mph to get those towing mpg, so really impressive.Love it, great style and design.
Home built, out of Owens Corning foam, see the threads on "Poor Man's Fiberglass" on the Instructables web site, the upper half is 1-1/2" steel studs and 1.5" foam covered in 7oz canvas and latex paint, bottom is 5/4 PT decking, 1" foam and skinned it with 5mm ply covered with 7oz canvas an latex paint, it's 124" x 63" exterior originally towed with a PriusV.Is that home built or purchased?
Definitely helps to be 3rd or 4th rodeo. Not so critical if you plan to paint it but if natural finish it helps to build a canoe or two first. If you choose to try it find some 3-4mm door skins. If you do not have access to rejects from door manufacturer buy some hollow core doors and take them apart from habitat. That way you will be working with real cheap skins. A real test would be where you have to scarf join two in order to get a big enough piece.I thought a lot about the footy extensions but decided to go this route after seeing the nomadic moonlander.
