He is being facetious and describing a Tremor
No, I was being, and am, dead serious. It was a '23 Lariat hybrid, Area 51 color.

I got a Bronco Sport as a loaner, and yes, the shift dial did feel a little more substantial. But not enough to bothe changing.
However the shift mode dial on the Bronco Sport is far preferable to the pushbutton on oir Mavericks. That I'd love to change to the BS version. From a user interface design standpoint a pushbutton just isn't the right choice for that function. Plus it's in a poor location: it really should be in the little space in front of the shifter dial.

I am continually amazed about the esthetics of functional components that people obsess about in this forum. I couldn't even tell which image showed the Maverick or Bronco Sport component until I drove again.
I agree...:giggle:
I could tell the difference by the look of the tactile parts, between the two.
What drew my attention, was the lack of cleanness... 🤢
Looks like the back of my refrigerator, If I don't clean it for a year...

Reminds me... Of my first job out of high school. Work for a local car dealer in the shops.
We had two customer, who would turn in their cars for NEW, every year.
They would NOT clean anything in them. Seeing the ashtray (for those too young... a receptacle/tray that held the ashes from used cigarettes) Overflowing... YUCK!! 🤮🤮

I hate the dial shifter, Id rather have the buttons you push to select your gear like in the newer Corsair.

I put a blue anodized dial (eBay) over mine. Love it and it puts a focus on the interior and mechanical side.

Pix of the aforementioned Escape Titanium shift knob, no idea if the ones on the other Escapes are the same.

I rented an Edge and it had this ring too. It did feel more robust and solid, but agai, not enough to worry about (especially since a good bit of the Mav dash and interior looks Little Tykes or Fisher Price (especially the gray plastic). To be clear, I like the interior look of my XLT and am not complaining - I just think the metal would look incongruous.

The rubber grip in the thing works fine, I guess., I don't care all that much but my preference is for the metal like on the Escape. The lack of stops for the rotational movement on each end of the turn bothers me more; I find it hard to get by the "Oh no, it's broken." feeling.

The rotary dial in the Mach E doesn't spin freely so Ford can do it!

The 2025s come with the one from the Bronco Sport so they should be swappable without issue.
Can confirm. Noticed this the instant I picked my Lariat up, though I don’t think it’s limited to Lariat?. Same with the volume knob.

2025s seem to have little updates material wise here and there. Feels much more solid and put together than my ‘22.

Pretty cool to see the different opinions and I definitely think the Lariat should have options found in at least the Bronco sport. Why eliminate the seat memory buttons i mean this is the top line model, just like the outer banks. Just saying.

Looking at used Bronco Sport and Maverick rotary shift dial modules on Ebay, it looks like the case moldings are different. The Escape and Bronco Sport look interchangeable physically. You might have to wait on a parted out wrecked 2025 Maverick. Unless you think the rotary dial itself could be swapped. I would be happy with a more knobby rubber overlay ring. Someone petition Mabbett or Mazina for a quality rubber ring upgrade.
