Doesn't the hybrid have an electric cooler pump? External to trans? Otherwise gear set remains spinning with all planets disengaged? Guess would depend on trans pump drive gear location? ????
Most likely does, the question is, does it still shut off in neutral? The only way to know would be to monitor the temps in gear, vs in neutral. There is zero benefit running in neutral for a hybrid, since you loose regen for one thing.

Ahhh! Yes! Looks like if you put it in neutral you should push the L button to put it in car wash neutral to keep the pump running! 🤗🤗👍

I hated, hated HATED the shifter on my old company car (Nissan Rouge) - stupid hockey-puck design where putting it all the way forward (which after 50 years of muscle memory = park) put the f#&$ing car into REVERSE. I can't count how many times I accidently started to back up! Stupid, dangerous design.

The MAVs knob is great in comparison. I like that you just twist it all the way counter-clockwise to park (don't have to count stops.. just give it a twist) OR all the way clockwise to drive,,, again without counting clicks.. just a good twist. It's easy enough and since it's just telling the computer what you want to do you can't accidently put it in reverse and do any damage.

It's not perfect, but believe me now and hear me later... there are WAY WORSE designs out there!
Looks great but I would be scared 💩 that I would screw something up…like reverse is neutral, neutral is Drive, drive is reverse etc etc etc. lol

Very easily…. I’m pulling the phone up to enter a new location on my iPhone map app. like I mentioned, I don’t grab the phone very often, but I have done it a couple of times where it’s actually taken the shifter out of drive. And where I have it resting in the little triangle slanted orange space that’s exactly where the cord hangs.
How about a phone where you dont have to plug it in all day? My samsung S24 takes me all over Phoenix/Scottsdale for 8 to 10 hours a day. When I go to sleep it's still at 60%.

I remember someone posted that they had selected or maybe accidentally selected something like park or reverse with nothing happening until speed was reduced enough for the computer to do it. Was not immediate. 🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷🤷

I don't have an iPhone so excuse my ignorance but does car play not allow you to interact with the apple maps application through the infotainment screen? Once I'm in android auto I don't touch the phone any more.
Yeah, it probably does but I pick up the phone for different reasons. Sometimes I’ll go to YouTube to play a song or to play a song off my playlist ….things like that. Things you can’t do from the screen.

I don’t plug my phone in all day and it lasts a long time. I plug it in because I’m not on Bluetooth because sometimes I don’t want the whole truck to hear my conversation…..and also access to my phone is why it’s plugged in. Not for the charging. 😎

The dial is my least favorite part of he truck....but then again my other car is a 2020 Civic Si. Ahhhh, the 3 pedal goodness of a Honda shifter.

I love the easy access to the front lower cubbies.

I like that you just twist it all the way counter-clockwise to park
Or you can simply turn off the vehicle; the transmission will automatically return to PARK.
