Mavericks are made in Mexico jackass. No UAW membership there. Ford made record profits for the last few years raising prices and suddenly it’s the fault of the workers who just got a raise? 🤫🤡
Aah, but Mavericks and Broncos do not make up the auto manufacturing industry. In the future, many more vehicles will be made in Mexico, or anywhere else the manufacturers decide the cost of labor looks attractive. They have no sworn loyalty to American workers, or the UAW. As you noted, they're greedy bastids.

So the UAW workers got a "raise". I don't hold that against them but when it comes to business, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Most often the customer pays the price.

Have a nice evening! 🤐

When internal cuts get to the point of kids eating less meals prices will go up. It's not going to be easy for quite awhile. Prices can and will be adjusted up or down. Whether an owned maverick sells for more or less than purchased price is irrelevant to what it's worth today or tomorrow. Keep it and get 40% more than original out the door price and buy a new one for 60% more could possibly be a smart move depending on what happens after that. I support those competing with Amazon etc. but it is getting hard to purchase elsewhere although I try to ask people I know where I might find something.
I have a Lariet to sell when my new one comes in so I'm hoping the bubble holds for a month or two. Dealer said he'd give me MSRP, I wonder how long that will hold.

I work for a lousy Union. They're good for supporting the slackers and to keep the union officials in Booze, cigars and hookers

Three days ago I was offered $26,225 for 2022 hybrid lux plus window tint with 1465 miles by Vroom. Judging from retail listings it appears that lux and lariat are bringing 600-2000 over what XL are. Lots of higher asking still. I expect Tremors showing up on lots due to Ford possibly building many that were not ordered and they need to get rid of parts will be discounted, but who knows!!

Great find! That’s a deal and the best value. Bonus it’s Area 51. That’s a rare bird.
Ford Maverick Maverick bubble over ? IMG_0355

Maverick came in 11/17/2023 after the dealership closed for the night. I drove to the dealer 11/19/2023 for a preview. There wasn’t instant love when I saw it in person like our CG AWD XLT purchased in July 2023.

For that reason I declined delivery. I do feel bad because Maguirer’s of Hershey was great to work with as an out-of-state buyer. No add-ons or markup.

Thursday 11/30/2023 got a text from Maguire’s Hershey asking if I was still looking to buy. Replied that I was continuing to search for a Maverick.

They wrote back one was available an XL hybrid and included the window sticker It was the same one I declined 11/20/2023. Salesperson went momentarily deaf when I asked why it showed vehicle delivered when I checked order status.

I confess I was a bit hasty in my decision to decline it and asked if same deal as before. It was MSRP + $449 doc fee + $57 cost of 60 day transit tag minus Farm Bureau. Sales manager would not allow credit card deposit of $500 to hold it, first come first serve. Got a check from my credit union since they would not accept personal check entire amount from out-of-state buyer.

Texted a photo of the CU check then off for the 1.5 hour ride to Hershey PA. Everything worked out as stated no surprises. Only said “no”once when with the business manager.

Had to leave it at the dealer until yesterday when my son could give me a ride there. 40 mpg for the drive home to Glen Arm MD.

Photo in my driveway today. Caught a cyber Monday sale at Real Truck on its last day Friday and bought a set of Husky liners for $124.99 + tax, free shipping. They were delivered today and installed a short time ago.

I feel this post appropriate for this thread because the Maverick was in their inventory 11 days without a sale.

Local Ford dealer offered me $27k on a trade and a Toyota dealer $28k. Carvana was high online bidder at $30,524.

The MSRP on the Maverick I bought on May 31st was $33,105. So, trade in values are definitely down, at least for the EcoBoost. It has 1,530 miles on the odometer right now.

I am not sure what to do…
