Very nice. Could be a little bigger. Paint matches, but we have a leak up front where the Ford moulding connects to the top of the bed of the truck. Any ideas on how to fix.

Looks nice. I can see the gap. Did it not come with a rubber gasket to put between the cap and the truck? If so, might want to look into getting a thicker one.

Another alternative is to see if the cab spoiler would fit and would cover that gap. They may be incompatible but someone else on here my know.

The leak is coming in between the factory moldings on the top and front of the bed and the bed. Nothing to do with the topper.

Hi, looks good. How much weight can you put on top (rating)?

Take a gigantic bicycle inner tube, fit it between the topper and the truck. Air it up for a great seal. Another option is to form a trough between the cab and the topper. Only options to stop leaking in the front. Nowhere for the water to go other than inside, no matter how much a seal you put between the bed and topper.

I planned on a similar a.r.e. cap. But I'm getting a wedge cap. I was wondering about the front leaking because of the unibody. Glad to hear someone reporting in. Someone else suggested the spoiler. I too was considering this to help. But I think that would be helpful when driving, not if sitting in the rain. If you come up with a doable fix, please share! Thanks!!

Exactly, water from the cab roof spills into the vertical moldings and leaks along the rails into the bed. No cap or tonneau cover is waterproof for the Maverick.

Looks good. I am getting one with racks too. Do those mount to rails or straight to the cap? I plan on getting a mid rise cap for the dogs, and putting atleast one rack on the cab aswell or a basket with a crossbar on top to make it level with the rear for longer heavier things. Do your windows have screens, if not how well do they work out for accessing the inside easier?

As for your leak, lots of things you could possibly try. Not sure if you are saying it gets in at the plastic pieces that wrap down from the roof to the back window, or at the top edge of that bed rail plastic and then comes out down below later? If either is the case you could look into a demo of how to remove the plastics, and then use some sealants under there and re-install to reduce the leakage.

If its just coming down the roof and into the crevasse( i just like that word) then there are alot of options that would help reduce leakage. I wouldnt say 100% prevent cause you could chase down condensation for years with a caulk gun and go insane in the process.

There is a sealer kit for the Breezer window replacement deal. that is a two piece overlapping design created for caps to cabs. That could help. I think its www.breezerwindows.com. The window is cool too especially if you got animals. Me I gotta make a few payment before I go busting out window glass lol!

Still think it should have been designed in that the window rolls down. 96 Bronco rolls down and has only needed new parts once and glass twice for stupid reasons. Its never leaked and has to go into a cap that is bolted to a flexible body that twists while offroad. One thing is that the the Bronco caps do have a double overlap like that breezer window cap seal kit. There is a built in lip and water can get in the gap all it wants but it has to run around the lip. Maybe the next gen(Maverick3G) Maverick will have a roll down window. It makes sense on such a small truck with a small window. Even if its only an option. Just have a main frmae that either gets a fixed or slider window bolted or welded in. And have the slide and motor structure all just attach to the inside and bottom of the window frame and lower near the floor. Would be worth it for $1000 option or something. Or 5% sunroof pricing? And be built better for a cap. Less special 1 time sealing needed means people can take it off more and be more versatile.
