Map time on trips a hour behind actual time away

So when im checking how far my truck is from the house it seems to be a hour off actual time.do i have to reset set something on the app to get a better accurate time?

I know when the GPS says it will take me 8 hrs to get somewhere it takes longer. Why? Because it doesn't take into account stops for gas, food, etc. Or traffic. Is that possibly why it's off an hour for you?

All i know is my daughter location was about a hour from home and she pulled in the driveway 5 minutes later.someone suggested i delete the app and reinstall it so if my daughter would get back with the truck i will try it.

Are you talking about the FordPass App showing the current location of the truck? Or are you talking about something like Google Maps or Waze overestimating the trip time from one location to another?

If the FordPass App, not surprised. If Google Maps or Waze, that seems very odd.

FordPass is not intended to be a real-time tracker for the vehicle. It's more of the last known parking location. If she was driving, it wouldn't have necessarily been updating the location in-app.

If you want to track the vehicle at all times, you'll need to find (read: buy) a dedicated system for that.

If you want real time (or close to it) tracking, use an app called Life360 and create a group of you and her (or anyone else close in the family). If their phone is on, you will know roughly where they are.
