I use the rear sliding window in my Tacoma for long pieces of stick lumber all the time but in the Tacoma the sliding window is top to bottom of the rear window In the Maverick the little window opening appears to me to have fixed glass above and below the sliding window. Not sure I trust pipe or lumber resting on glass.

I have a power window in my ridgeline and use it frequently for ventilation and occasionally for hauling long items. I hope Ford makes the power window an option for the XL and XLT. It is the only feature from the Lariat that I want and can't get in an XLT.

Only reason why I'd get the slider is for a pass through for trim and other long pieces. It just doesn't look like a good idea with all that glass around it

I have not really used a slider since they eliminated vent windows. That was just about the best ventilation system going. Open the slider, the vent windows and the cowl vents, perfect. (y)
No vent windows, but I read somewhere the moon roof / rear window combo achieves the same thing!

I’m not sure if I am correct, but from the photos I’ve seen, the slider makes the already narrow rear window even smaller. I’ll take visibility.

Take a look at the window. Looks bigger than I thought

Is it me or is the window more to the bottom of the frame

Also looks a little more usable as a pass through

but don't you have to also buy Ford 360? If so, that's like an extra $800 just for a window.
Fords website says that but I’ve been told otherwise and I ordered the window only with no issues so far

I opted for the sliding window I figured since I could run an extension cord from the backseat outlet to the bed if I need to for some reason.
