I understand from this forum that the following is required to aggressively maintain a Ford Maverick. In this specific case, a 2025 Maverick Hybrid...

Engine oil: 0w-20 Full Synthetic
PTU: 75w-85 Full Synthetic
RDU: SAE 75w Disconnect Fluid

Also, I am to consider engine oil changes about every 5,000 miles and the PTU and RDU fluid changes about every other oil change (about 10,000 miles).

I know this is a Hot Topic, but do I have it about right? I want to drive this truck forever, or at least for as long as I can. I don't mind aggressive maintenance, but I'm emotionally scarred from the Army's Fix It 'Til It Breaks, Then Fix It Some More mentally.

Hey, I own oil stock. If you want to change fluids double as often like you proposed, please do fire away!

Sooo, too much then? I mean, that's what I'm asking...

How about if I double the intervals?

If I had to do it all over, I'd change engine oil at ~500, ~2000 (break-in changes) and then at 10000 mi. Then 1 year or 10k after that (light to normal duty), but only using the exact oil for the Hybrid that the book says. Mine says 0w-20 Full Syn GL-6 for the Hybrid.

Change engine oil, RDU and PTU as often as gives you peace-of-mind.
The first fluid changes at the mileages you state above will give you an idea if you need to shorten the intervals or can spread them out, depending on how you use your vehicle.
Protect your investment as you see fit.

30,000 miles on the RDU, PTU. so says, FordTechMakuloco.
I agree with this. After changing both, my opinion is you could double that to 60,000 on the RDU. Due to heat from the engine bay, the PTU oil breaks down much quicker than the RDU oil. The RDU oil looked new in comparison. People mention "sludge" in these, but that's just metal wear particles from the clutches. There's no way of avoiding that with a clutched gear system, they just wear over time.

On a hybrid, every 10,000 miles on the vehicle is about 5000 miles on the engine.

Since we are talking about oil changes…
I did not buy my hybrid locally in my small town due to negative comments about our Ford dealership. So I bought mine in another state close by, where my daughter lives. Where should I get my first oil change?
1. My local Ford
2. Where I bought my hybrid
3. My local maintenance shop that has worked on my previous vehicles, which were not hybrids.

I went back to my dealer where I purchased for the first one. I have a Ford dealer 3 miles from me but I wouldn't let them wash my truck let alone change the oil. Future work will be done at the NAPA service center about 12 miles from me now that I have been using for 15 or more years. Former Ford master mechanic and his wife own the place and he follows the specs exactly. The dealer? Maybe. The hybrid oil change is nothing special other than the recommended full synthetic oil. If you have a mechanic you trust, stick with them.
