I love all the I don't do it right, but never had a problem so it must be good comments.
The only difference between you and the people that end up on Youtube is better luck so far.

Spec for 14mmx1.5 is 85-90 ft lbs. Not sure why Ford says 148. I torqued my new wheels to 100. On a side note Ive never had any shop torque wheels correctly. They send it with the impact gun and call it good.
I strongly suspect that your source of torque data is outright wrong. This spec comes from where? Where is the reference document? What stud elongation is your spec for? Why do you trust it instead of the known-correct Ford spec? Is it for just snugging up a bolt or for properly torquing an actual wheel stud? The Ford spec is the same for the Maverick and the F150, in order to get the right amount of stud stretch. Its been 148ft/lbs for more than a few years now. Its 90ft/lbs for the Bronco Sport and the Escape, both with much smaller studs.

Make sure you get it right!
Fake news, that truck clearly broke the axle, you can see the rotor inside the wheel.
Lug nuts don't just fly off and then the wheel, even if you don't use a torque wrench ;)

I never trust someone else to rotate my wheels properly. There is a 90% chance they use the "goodn'tight" torque from an impact and over torque everything and about a 50% chance they don't rotate properly. I've watched them do it wrong at Discount and Les Schwab and who knows how many times in my youth before I cared to pay attention. Fool me once, shame on me; fool me twice, I'm the fool. So I do it myself now.

To everyone that lets someone else do this work: Check it before you drive off. Buy yourself a Torque Wrench from Harbor Freight that goes to 150 ft/lbs and get the proper sockets you need. Also, check your valve stem caps and air pressure.

It's fine if you let someone else do it and there are many reasons why someone can't rotate their own tires, but driving off without checking makes YOU liable.

Wait, Bronco Sport wheels fit the Maverick, don't they use the same size lug bolts? Or is the thread pitch different, but same physical size? - I'm curious now.

The thread pitch is the same (1.5mm), the diameter is different. Bronco Sports uses M12 x 1.5 lug nuts.

Maverick uses M14 x 1.5 lug nuts.

Same bolt circle for both (5 x 108mm), same center hole diameter (63.4mm), same offset (37.5mm).
