Sorry for the confusing post - the setting was just a coincidence and had nothing to do with my MPGs. I was getting inaccurate readings when I drove short trips. I was only taking the truck around the corner and back for work, so I thought it was broken or something reading 13-18 MPG after each short trip. In reality I am consistently getting around 50 mpg around town now that my job is further away! Also changing my tire pressure to 35 as recommended may have helped too. And I absolutely love my hybrid XL.I tried it on 2 15 mile trips. No difference, yet. Gonna reset all settings and try a long run. I usually drive in the Eco mode and turn off traction control too. I wish I could default those settings. Love my XLT Hybrid.
