Yesterday I received this Apple Watch notification. My 22' Lariat is an ICE, with only 9k miles. I drive about 5-8 miles a day, give or take depending.

I started getting them sporadically over the last week or two, also. Ecoboost and no prior battery issues since I reset the BMS... hmm, probably around Nov-Dec '22.

I think there's a chance it could be FordPass issues, but if I were you, definitely reset the Battery Monitoring System. It's extremely easy, takes 30 seconds or less.

What's the process?

I try to get mine on the highway for 30 minutes as well at least once a week.

(edit: lol the forum trashed FoMoCo's numbering. usually the forum editor is pretty smart.)

Resetting the Battery Sensor

When you install a new battery, reset the battery sensor by doing the following:
  1. Switch the ignition on, and leave the engine off.
Note: Complete Steps 2 and 3 within 10 seconds.

2. Flash the high beam headlamps five times, ending with the high beams off.

3. Press and release the brake pedal three times.

The battery warning lamp flashes three times to confirm that the reset is successful.

Seriously like a secret video game code, thank you.

I keep an Antigravity Battery Tracker on all my cars and open the app for the Maverick once a week. It's gone from 100% to 60% in a day or two or not moved for a week from 100%, so I just hit the highway to be sure it's charged up weekly.

Welcome to the club who experience battery issues. After 2 years of this nonsense, I replaced my battery with an Interstate AGM battery, reset the BMS and changed the charge level from 80% to 95% with ForScan. So far, no more battery issues (knock on wood) for the past 3 months.

Remote features have a constant small drain on the battery. They are turned off when the battery is down to, I think, 12 volts. This happens when an ICE Maverick is driven sporadically and on short trips. The battery does not have a chance to fully recover.
We mostly use our Mach-e. So the Maverick just sits in the garage waiting for short trips to Home Depot, etc. Our battery needs an external charge every 6 to 8 weeks (in moderate CA weather)

I have an EcoBoost too. About 3-4 months ago I bought an Interstate AGM battery, reset the BMS and changed the charge level from 80% to 95% with ForScan. No problems since then (knock on wood).

Thanks for the cheat code. Overnight battery would go from 100-90% now after BMS reset 100-98% overnight for the last few weeks. I guess I just don't understand what the BMS or something else in the truck was doing overnight to drain the battery 10%. I thought the BMS controlled that how/when of charging while driving the Mav. Now if we do a week of 3-5 mile trips it never hits 100%, but that I get.

I was ready to replace the battery but will still monitor it's my daughter's commuter.

I put a good quality AGM battery in my EB and keep it on a battery tender most of the time. I drive very little and the BMS isn't the smartest. Even though the battery stays charged, if I don't drive for 14 days it goes into deep sleep mode. Before installing the tender it would go into deep sleep every 3-5 days.
