Lately I've been receiving a low battery voltage warning in the app, and then remote start and unlocking the doors from the app doesn't work. Worse yet, when I go to my vehicle and open the doors the interior lights do not come on, and then as this problem gets worse I cannot lock or unlock the doors with the hand sensor. I took it to the dealer, the first time they told me that needed a software update but three days later the problem came back, just recently I took it to the dealer again and they said the problem is that I have installed a dash cam and it is recording in parking mode and it is draining the battery. I have turned off this feature, and I'm still having a problem, dealer looks at me you like I'm an idiot. I have had the vehicle for 6 months, I have 8,500 miles on it, and I drive the vehicle everyday. Is anyone else having issues like this with their hybrid Maverick? If so have you found a solution?

You might have the battery harness issue.

I, and many other owners, have had similar issues with the hybrids, and even some have reported the issues with the 2.0. See my thread entitled My Experience With Deep Sleep Mode Messages. So far, I have not been provided a solution and I haven't read that anyone else has. Some think that we are experiencing the early symptoms of a wiring harness complete failure, at which time Ford will apparently deal with the issue. I will add that the "longer drive solution" has not worked for me as I have often received the message shortly after taking a 20 mile drive.

i got the same message last week. I was also concerned that it might be the battery harness issue. i drove for about 5 minutes and the message went away. i took it to the dealer on a thursday evening. they couldn't get to my truck until monday. it's monday now they weren't able to find anything wrong. they reported it on the TSB. a few takeaways that i've gathered from my own experience:

--seeing as the truck sat on their lot from thursday evening to monday, the battery was fine. so that's a good sign for me i suppose....

--one member pointed out, when the key fob is near the truck, there's a lot or relays that get activated and you hear all sorts of clicking going on. when you got the battery message, did you notice if you were getting in and out of the vehicle a lot? where do you store your FOB? would it be near the truck and just close enough in range that activates the truck with all that clicking that it does? i'm not saying that this is the cause but just another point of view or perspective to wonder about.

i will continue to monitor to see if it occurs again.

I don't drive my truck much (on average only once a week for about 10 miles). I really believe it's a key proximity issue (for the ones that don't have the harness issue). So far the only times I have received the deep sleep is when I have been working on my truck getting in and out many times with the keys in my pocket.

Here is what I found with the deep sleep message and why some are getting it. I have got it twice in 6 months. And both times I parked the truck in a bad cell service area. Then I wondered, so I asked 2 others that got this all the time. They said they also park their trucks in a terrible service area when it’s happened. So based on that I suspect since the truck is having a hard time connecting the modem to a cell tower. Instead of sitting there trying to reconnect all the time it just shuts it off and goes into deep sleep to avoid draining your battery.

So my question to you is, are you parking in a bad cell area when This happens?

Your dealer doesn't know about the wire harness issue? That should be the first thing they should check. Dash cams don't drain batteries that fast.

You might have the battery harness issue.
Not might have a problem with the harness, does have a problem with it the dealer needs to step up and repair it now and then when the new improved one from Ford becomes available change it out

First post here. Owned my Maverick XLT for 6 months. This thread helped me understand the deep sleep warnings I got in the last week. I store my key in the truck and have heard the clicks mentioned here. With the temps down in the 20s now, I get these warnings when parked out in the cold with key left inside. Also noticed that the average cumulative mileage had been going up and peaked at 43.9 mpg. Since the cold weather the average has been dropping quickly and now at 43. Looks like the battery is less efficient in cold weather. Has anyone noticed this?

I am going to take the key out and see if the deep sleep messages go away.

I have an XL with about 4,000 miles driven, delivered in late March, 2022. I started having this issue a few weeks ago: Deep Sleep Alert via the Ford Pass app. The issue has progressed such that when I open a vehicle door, NO cab lights or anything else activates. It's totally dark and quiet. Yet, the machine, so far, does start. I don't drive it every day and when I do, usually only 20 miles or less. We do live in an area with somewhat sporadic cell phone connectivity.

I deleted the Fordpass apps from my iPhone and iPad. I also turned off all Fordpass connectivity using the console in the vehicle cab. This action has not remedied the cab lights issue.

I have not contacted my dealership with this issue. But, it does seem to be a fairly widespread problem. I'm at your service to try recommended remedies.

You have to reset the BMS for the cab lights to start working again. My recommendation is to either charge the battery to a better SOC or take it out for a long drive. After that reset the BMS by:

Key in ignition to the "on" position but don't start. Flash your high beams 5 times then press the brake pedal three times and watch the gauge cluster. You should see the battery warning light blink a few times. That means your BMS is reset and those features will work again.
