Just saw Tim from Kansas.
He said that Lariat Lux package has lost the spray in liner option! Will get a drop in liner instead. This is only for unscheduled orders.
Did you see it?
He said Ford is doing this to satisfy orders.
I am very disappointed in this last minute change. I really like the spray look better.

Ford should give an option for credit, so you can self spray. Rhino line of our Maverick was $450 in boise, ID

Ford won't credit you $500 to do it locally because it costs them nowhere near that to do them at the factory.

No ABSOLUTELY NOT, take it all off and decrease my cost by the 500 bucks, or whatever the cost, and I'll get it done at Line-X. That is ridiculous to force us to accept an inferior product. Just build the damn truck without either and reduce my price and that'll work for me. Unbelievable, is their 1st year in business or what. Ford CONTACT your customers or at least the dealers and allow US to make that choice for ourselves. I'm feeling like Rodney Dangerfield here, we're getting no respect, no respect at all.
For the last 5 months you could have ordered the lux package and get the spray in. now it is changed and ford calls the shots here. I wish i could get an xl trim with cruise control but again this is up to Ford.

They're not "forcing" you to do anything. Damned if they do and damned if they don't. Im sick of the whining on this forum I'm gone. Impatient children, the room is now yours.
I agree! tons of complains call this and that.

I think Bullet is the way to go. They don’t charge extra for better UV protection like Line X does. Bullet was founded by the original founder of Line X who did you like the direction Line X was going.

The line can probably only do X percent of vehicles with spray in bed liners. As an example 50 percent or every other vehicle the robot cycles in to spray. If 2 back to back come down the line they have to slow process down to accommodate spray in bed process. This is just a simple example, I don't know the real details. Ford will probably need to add some robots to accommodate larger volume with spray in beds. . .If I had to bet they probably thought less then 50 percent wanted spray in bed liner.
The spray ins are done offsite, not part of the production line.

Moving forward this is correct.

Here is the exact Timestamp from the @fordvideoguy YT video: .

However, your wording is off. Ordered but unscheduled vehicles will still get spray in as long as their order was done (and received a ford confirmation email to be safe) BEFORE the cut-off date. New orders AFTER the cut-off will not get the spray in liner and will receive the drop-in.

This only applies to new orders after the cutoff date (arbitrarily 11/1) , but ultimately he said look on your DORA (build sheet/order sheet). If it says spray in then you get spray in. If it says drop in then you get drop in.
Nothing like getting the exact wording correct. A few thousand people with spray-in bed liner just breathed a sign of relief!! Thanks for posting the correct information, unlike the click bate headline!

Sounds like they have a bunch of drop ins stocked and nobody wants them. So now you will get it.

I ordered the XLT AWD with The Luxury Package, the change they spoke about was with the Luxury Package my point was if they can't give me the spray in bed liner then just take it off my Package. I don't see the problem with that. I don't want the drop in that's the point but I'll give it away and and get a spray in. I'll raffle it off at my VFW Post to raise some money for the Post, you know what a VFW Post is right? We all have opinions I earned mine, I don't whine I get things done, one way or the other. But it turns out it doesn't affect me anyways so, Happy Veterans Day if you qualify otherwise have a nice day anyways

I just changed my order and my dealer came back to me about this. I said its cool, a drop in will be fine, spray in was a nice to have. Ford is apparently offering $210 for the difference if you want to remove the drop in and go get a spray in liner somewhere. Fair. A bit bummed but if it keeps the order from being delayed that's what I'm more interested in.

*if you have a new order going forward from the 1st of November (last week, as he stated in the video). If you placed an order on or before October 31st with a lux it's going to be a spray-in. If you placed an order on or after November 1st it's a drop-in.

This. I was also bummed about not getting the factory spray bedliner. Bu my dealer is going to split the cost with me to have it done locally. And they use Bullet. Not only is their material UV stable it also has a lifetime warranty vs. 3 years from Ford. So kindasortamaybe a win.

Has anyone else been able to come to a resolution with their dealer? I currently have my build sheet with the drop-in spec'd. I would prefer no liner and some form of credit. I hope I get offered the $210 credit with no liner. I'll get a mat for $100 aftermarket and call it good.

Just genuinely despise the drop ins...
