Looking for some chrome!

Have done the Aunginsy Tailgate and their door covers through Amazon on my Alto Blue and really, really look good. Also their knob sets and couldn't be happier. Great company to work with.

Do they seem like they'll be durable?

Honestly the big wheel trend of custom cars today has me almost completely uninterested in what any one else does. The real reason you dont see alot of chrome anymore is because how expensive (and toxic) proper chroming is. There is a medium between classic chrome processes and a dozen Autozone furnished "Buick" portholes on every panel everywhere. Getting some of the factory black plastic chrome wrapped or painted, is a whole different thing. The lettering folks are doing is something I'm on the fence about. I prefer a chromed piece to be a chromed piece with defined edges, not a sticker.

Talking about JC Whitney, something I always loved seeing at car shows was "curb feelers".
Such a silly thing yet so popular at on specific time in history.

Lol I recall those, also strios that hung out the rear that was supposed to be if you got hit by lightning.

I believe so. Have gotten good compliments on knobs, door handles and tailgate handle covers. Really stand out with the Alto Blue.

Robert, both alto and carb gray look dark in the shade or at night. This video shows how alto gets bright blue and carb actually turns gold. The XLT wheels are carb gray so they lighten up in the sun too. Overall, alto as is looks great. Maybe just add chrome Mav lettering in the back.

The great chroming has begun! First up is tailgate lettering. I went for the Ford branded stainless steel letters and had the dealer install them prior to picking up the vehicle. Yes, they were considerably more expensive, but man I think they look first class, and I figured since they were dealer installed, they'd come under the overall vehicle warranty if I have any problems with them.

What about a chrome bug deflector?

AVS makes this chrome Aeroskin deflector (part# 622154).

I think chrome parts on a dark colored vehicle can look classy if not overdone. Bug deflector, window deflectors, door handles and mirror covers would look good on your Alto Blue Maverick, in my humble opinion.

I also thought a little chrome would help the door handles "pop" a bit. Also put the stainless lettering on the tailgate.

I think I would go for those chrome handles linked above but avoid the bumper pieces. If it isn't a full chrome bummer forget it. Just doesn't look right to me.

I did chrome letters on the tailgate, love the pop it gives.

I have seen some plastic covers for the sideview mirrors and if you want to match the handles that might be an option for you.

Just added body moldings. They said chrome in the description but I think they look more of a polished finish. I think they turned out nice. I just didn't care for the all white color look and wanted to set off the door handles and body a bit.

I would say it adds a bit of flare to the truck. Maybe put some fender trims on in chrome around the wheel wells.

Are you still able to use your door handle sensors to lock your truck? I'm guessing the plastic blocks the sensor.
