Just kidding.
I just helped my cousin tow his trailer about a half mile to the storage yard since his truck was loaned out. It actually just came in under the 4k tow package limit at 3,800 lbs.
Looked pretty ridiculous next to the little Mav but it actually towed it fine. Even my cousin was impressed (and he tows it with a 5.7 Liter Tundra).

Just talking about this and curious how it would handle. How'd it do and do feel good about a longer haul at that weight?

Good to hear it did it reasonably well. This reminds me of the 1984 Chevy C20 3/4 ton pickup (6-cylinder) that I towed an 18 foot Kit Road Ranger travel trailer with. Around town and even on flat highways (with light wind) was just fine. Driving up over mountain passes in the Cascade Mountains (of Oregon and Washington) and the Rockies (of Idaho and Colorado) was a different story. At times I was all the way down in 2nd gear trying to maintain speed going up mountain passes. Was pretty sure I could hear guns cocking a mile back as drivers behind me lost patience. I pulled off at every pull-off to let them by but as soon as I got back on the road another line would start to form behind me. Sold that trailer after one season and bought a Coleman pop-up which was fine.

I had an 86 C30 with a 5.7 V8. It was the gutless wonder. It looked like a county truck, worked like a county truck. It needed union breaks and only worked Monday through Friday. It was a pain to get him to work outside of that. Lol I name him bug frosty. Cause that ac was ice cold.
