not sure where you're getting your information, but when I had a 28" fifth wheel, I had no problems or issues with running my A/C off a honda 2000W generator

My fifth wheel Air would not start with a Honda 2000, had to go 3000+. Maybe newer RV Air conditioners have better "soft starts" now. Follow the Air spec sheet before you invest in a gen so your not caught out on the cold, rather "Heat"
