I looked on Amazon today and seen 2 different pair of locking lug nuts. Just got rims so I want to pick up a pair. I seen that Amazon states 14x1.5 does not fit Gorilla and McGard has a pair of 14x1.5 that Amazon states does fit. I have the Gorilla Lug set that are 14x1.5 and want to stick with Gorilla. Amazon also says the 9/16" fit. Confused on which to buy.

Anyone had experience with the Gorilla locking lug nut 14x1.5 version not fitting?

If it's the right size (14) and thread pitch (1.5) the only other issue could be the seat type (acorn vs cone).

If everything matches it's probably just a bug on Amazon's part ... Wouldn't be the 1st time that's happened

I went with the McGard #24215 Wheel Locks that are M14-1.5 thread with a conical seat. They work fine but stick out a bit too far for my taste, and seem at increased risk of being compromised by a criminal.

What about either of these. (See pics below.) I have heard mixed things in this forum and honestly cannot decide before I spend the $. Wifey has me on a budget for my rim package and I have her on a budget for her new ring. Just don't want to waste money either, lol.

Ford/McGard GR3Z-1A043-A locking nuts and Gorilla 96641DX locking nuts stand higher than the Ford OEM ACPZ-1-12-M nuts.

For size comparison:
McGard, Gorilla, Ford

IMHO the locks with the wavy loop pattern milled into the end are harder to defeat than the ones with the grooves on the side. However, neither will defeat a determined criminal. In my area, wheels are stolen much less often than catalytic converters, so it's all a guessing game on what the real threats are. Wifey is probably your greatest threat, so take care of her first, silly boy. :bandit:

These fit the ford stock wheels

https://a.co/d/4YAe1zX

This fit aftermarket wheels 5x108

https://a.co/d/2FYLnHX

The stock wheel lug nuts DO NOT fit aftermarket wheels, they are "too fat"
Much appreciated!

I have a 2025 xl 2.0. Purchased the 17" Vision Monaco 477's. Gorilla spline black Lugs came with them. I looked at a lot of threads here in the club and honestly am just uneducated about the spline or locking and see many having issues and such.

LOL where did you get that nonsense from? Cheap chrome 12 point and that standard wheel lock is bypassed.

Spline-drive "tuner" lug nuts aren't really going to prevent theft because most of them use the same socket. I've got 3 sets and I can use any socket on them interchangeably. So anyone with a spline drive socket would be able to remove them

They're needed for wheels that have small diameter bores for the lug nuts. The small diameter + special socket to install them fits into a smaller bore than regular hex nuts
