Your van buyer might have been onto something. I'm learning noise and how we perceive it is a complicated thing. Other people do hear the noise but the Ford shop foreman doesn't think it is unusual.
An update for everyone:
None of the local Ford service departments have a portable dB meter so I was left with the two phone apps to check dB and Ford technicians subjective perception. Finally, I got hold of a real dB meter. What an embarrassing enlightenment. The $200.00 meter says that my 100 KM dB level is 70 - 75 dB, not 90 - 95 as the phone apps indicated. 70 plus is still loud but perhaps with rubberized undercoating and alternative tires I can get this down to 60 - 65, which is what my company RAM 1500 is. I'll let everyone know. I think I'll keep the Lobo. So far I really like the drive. Thanks again to all that submitted suggestions!
