So I noticed that my 2024 Maverick XLT Hybrid had the parking lights on while parked. I make sure the radio, fan and ac is off before I turn off the car so I was puzzled. Doors were also locked. So, I unlocked thge doors and enter and the AC was going full blast and the radio was blasting and could not turn anything off ! WTF! So I started the car and then was able to turn off AC, radio and fan. The programming and electronics for these vehicles was carried to extreme with useless options. Obviously the programminghas many faulty issues and was not properly tested. I regret buying this vehicle plus it continues to go to "deep sleep" and Ford dealer can not find anything wrong. Anybody have similar issues???

Deep sleep is in indeed a common issue.

But the lights, air, and radio running when the truck is off and locked is pretty much unique to you. For that reason, I would suspect a wiring issue over software. Maybe a factory problem, or maybe something that changed after your truck left manufacturing.

What modifications, if any, have you done or had done to your Maverick?

I think it might be rhe Ford Pass App. I removed it from my iphone. I think the truck was actually running on electric. I suspect thr Ford App did a remote start. But to turn all thethings off I had to turn the key to statr and then off. I dont understand why it was blowing cool air at full blast while the AC button was off.

If you had remote starts scheduled and then removed the app, I highly doubt that canceled the scheduled remote starts. The app being on your phone has nothing to do with server side scheduled events like remote starts. If you had remote starts scheduled for some regular interval (every Monday at 7 AM, etc...) wait for that time to come again and see what happens. Also......there should be a message on the screen that says something like "Vehicle running, insert key". Look for that next time.

Did the AC light come on when you put the key in? Because I believe on a remote start that it'll blow hot or cold air depending on the temperature outside and inside the vehicle, but none of the lights will come on until you put the key in. At least that's the way it is on mine. If the temperature is like 45° out and I start the car I have the inside temperature at 72 It will start blowing heat and I will get in and can tell that my seat is being heated and so is my steering wheel but none of the lights are on until I put the key in the run position. Once I do that then they all light up

I believe that was the case.

Earlier today I posted a totally silly response on the thread about the climate system doing things on its own, like standing on one foot and pulling your ear, since that makes as much sense as how some of these features function. On that thread there were a couple of responses from Ford. Both wanted private contact and VIN numbers. Years ago we had a Crown Vic with a torque converter shudder issue and Ford had to have the VIN to determine which TC was installed. At that time Ford was swapping parts between shifts trying to resolve issues. The request in the other thread causes me to think there are several different programs in the ECMs that suffer from different bugs or they may have been hacked. There sholud be simple fixes for many of these annoyances.

The deep sleep issue is caused by the factory battery. Do a search, they’re all kinds of threads on it. Basically, if you just replaced the battery, that will solve your problem.
