I guess that you do not intend to drive at night, when you can't see much with that ridiculous tint. Get a pair of yellow driving glasses instead. And get your cataracts fixed.
AGAIN....you are missing the point Master Blaster....My tint...below the "Legal".... meaning LIGHTER than legal....is not ridiculous. I've seen ridiculously dark tint....and that is NOT ME. Legal in Texas is 25, I have 35. I do understand what you are trying to say....but it is only for SOME people....not all of Texas. Show me where on the post that the Tint hurt you??? LOL :teehee::teehee::teehee:

It has never been an issue for me when traveling all over the US and my fronts are always 20%. Only time it ever was an issue is when I couldn't get my truck to pass inspection in NC and had to remove the tint on the front windows when I moved from Ohio.

I'm not saying it can't be an issue, I've just never experienced in well over 200k miles of traveling.

Also if you get pulled over.......roll your window down. Put your hands on the steering wheel, help diffuse the situation.
Your suggestion to roll down the window is excellent. I was an EMT in my distant past and interacted frequently with law enforcement. One of the things most important to the them is to be able see the hands of the driver. Leave your hands on the wheel. Don’t anticipate a request for registration and be reaching into your glove compartment. That is the same action a bad guy takes when reaching for a firearm.

70% front windshield.
30% front sides.
Factory rear.
Overall, I’m happy with it. On a hot sunny day I’d prefer it to be darker but wouldn’t want to make nighttime driving suffer. (Plus already illegal as is, going darker could increase odds of a ticket).

I put 25% on my front door windows and 35% on all back windows all with 99+% IR on all those to take care of the infra red heat causing light. If I had to do it again, I would have also done windshield with the 0-5% shade with 95+% UV PLUS the 99+% IR tint. I am five years post cataract surgery with distance correction but have had to add glasses to correct for near vision and astigmatism correction. (I elected to not pay the $1800 per eye for the near vision bifocal correction in the cataract lens since I expected to have to buy glasses anyway as my eyes aged further).

I'm curious what % tint are you folks doing on the front two side windows? It's clear (no pun intended) that the back two side windows are darker than the front two sides so I'm wonder what % tint did you have done to darken up the front two side windows? I think the rear (back) window is tinted fairly dark too so not sure I would want to tint the that one or the windshield. Any pics would be helpful too. I would think that tinting both the front side windows with a high quality ceramic tint would help keep the heat out. Thoughts?
Depending what state you live in, what percentage of tint is allowered. Only the front door windows are in question, that's why they come untinted. If a vehicle is ordered with tinted from the factory, all the tints are the same and pass all state requirements.
