There are currently 19,378 total retail unscheduled orders as of 1/22/24. HUGE progress from almost 24k last week.

Retail USOB: Is the current mix of retail orders in the unscheduled order bank (USOB) at the time the report was run. The report only looks at orders that are “clean”, meaning they do not have a compatibility error, material hold or on 99 priority code.

See the previous commodity report.

Looks like all 2,519 Ecoboost can be scheduled this week, if they didn't use the standard 17" tires.

Ford doesn't have any 17" tires to build it this time.

Interesting. Looks like it was roughly 2:1 EB:Hybrid scheduled. Consistent with the constraint reported on hybrids. Sucks that the hybrid is the constrained this month. It's already effectively constrained against the orders in the order bank. The order bank is getting very lopsided in Hybrid vs. EB.

Wouldn't be surprised to see the majority of the EB's left in the order bank scheduled during this main commit.

Light scheduling last week. Seems like Ford still has some room.

EBs are almost to the point of no delay. Allocations would be the only thing holding them up.

Ford can still get all the XLs built before the end of the model year. Last week, 43% scheduled were XL. So, take that "exhausted" availability list with a grain of salt.

If I did not have mine I would take steelies with $$ price adjustment!
How about 4 donuts???
XL and XLT's use the same tires. None available. Only FX4, Tremors, and Lariats use different sized tires.

How did they end up scheduling so many XL's with the tires on 'Exhausted Availability'? Aren't all XL's using the unavailable tires?

Only Ford knows. Take that other document with a grain of salt, it seems.

I'd say more than half of the order banks are hybrid XL. XL makes up 60% of total orders and Hybrid 87% of the total. So, basic math would equal 52.2% of the total order bank is a hybrid XL.

If you want something built sooner than later, order something other than a hybrid XL.

This spreadsheet optimistically assumes that the plant will not be idled due to a parts shortage. If they don't get a LOT of hybrid engines and transmissions and 17" tires in soon, that's what is going to happen in about a month and they end up rolling a huge number of the orders over again, into 2025 this time. With a continuing history of issues, my confidence in Ford actually getting their supply chains in order is very weak at this point.

My projections are conservative. Ford has consistently exceeded them. Mathematically, Ford can get the XLs complete before the end of the model year, but they will have to keep up the current scheduling rate.

And maybe their "exhausted" availability is simply their way of saying they have enough orders to meet demand without actually locking down the order banks.
