Doing some rough math it looks like most non-XL EcoBoost orders should build out by April. Hybrids and XLs extending out to July+.

No need for Ford to do that.

Ford will build current XL orders and future orders this year.

It will just take some time as Ford prioritizes XLT/Lariat orders.

Ford specifically stated that XL orders would be constrained even before the 2024 order banks opened.

I see no reason for the complaints on scheduling XLs as this information was published before the order banks opened and even dealers told customers to expect a long time from order to delivery on XL orders.
If you had been waiting 478 days, you might complain, also. When I ordered in September of 2022, nobody told me that an XL was constrained. I even switched from hybrid to ecoboost when Ford said I would have a better chance of getting a truck. It stinks seeing people getting trucks in 6 months or less, when some of us have been waiting 16 to 24 months or more to get a vehicle.
