Lariat or well spec'd XLT?

I have the XLT Luxury package.

If I had a highway commute, I would strongly consider the Lariat package for the improved wind-shield / sound-deadening and adaptive cruise control. For me, the other Lariat perks are extremely marginal.

When I went to buy I was planning on a XLT. Bought a Lariat for Sirius,B&O stereo, and power sliding window. Never in my life have I bought higher trim than second tier. But I'm closer to the end than the beginning and I wanted something nice. And if I want a Tremor I'll buy that. If i drop dead tomorrow money doesn't matter at all.

XLT Lux, glad I didn't waste money on the Lariat. Don't like plastic seat covers, oversized and more expensive rubber (tires), don't need more speakers, don't need a sunroof or rear sliding window. Don't need adaptive cruse control, and all the other stuff. I'm a middle of the road kind of guy, and like a middle of the road truck.

All nice options for sure but raise the price a bunch!! An AWD 26 Lariat with the 2.0 EB like the 25 AWD XLT I have with the 2.0 EB is like 7 grand more than what I paid for mine!!

If I didn’t have an AWD Lariat I wouldn’t own a Maverick.
