I purchased the Lariat because Linda said, " get what you want." I'm glad I listened.
🤔 My wife said I can't have a '25, but maybe I can ask this Linda person.

It'll shut her right down when I tell her, "But Linda said I could!" ;)

Why would I buy a used Ranger when I can easily afford a new one? or better yet, why would I buy a Ranger at all? I bought a $38k Maverick Lariat because I wanted a small pickup. I didn’t want a big pickup. I wanted something that fits in my garage, is easy to park in an urban parking lots, is narrow enough to fit on overgrown fire trails, and is not a cheap econobox. The affordable price of the Maverick Lariat was simply a nice bonus - a similarly equipped Ranger lariat with fx4, tow package, spray in bed liner and cargo management rails would be $51,855, a full 36% more expensive than the Maverick.
All valid except it really is an econobox. And honestly the turning radius of not that great considering it's small size. Glad you're pleased with your decision no need to justify it

I have a 360 camera on my Bronco. It is a neat trick but I don't find that it is overly useful. Definitely wouldn't pay extra for it if that is the only 'want' you on the Lariat list.

Yes, I can assure you that every Maverick owner that owns a lesser trim model has Lariat envy. It is simply the best model in every way.

Some are honest and come out and admit it, but others are so deep in denial that they write multi-page diatribes rationalizing why they think their lesser model is better.
I always went for the "top of the line" version of every car I bought new. No I'm not rich, but like you said, never regretted saying I should of got the nicer car. Back then you could buy a Impala with just a 6cyl, 3 on the tree, am radio for around 3K, or get a Biscane big block, 4 speed for 3.5K. I went with class, rather then power! I loved Chrome.

Weird criticism, given that the only pickup in the US with a better turning radius is the Colorado and it is only 0.3 feet less.

And if you think the Maverick lariat is an econobox, then you really should try driving the xl or xlt Maverick.

People forget the Lariat has sound deadening windshield, electric sliding rear window, used to have Michelin tires, soft-wrapped steering wheel, seat heaters, heated steering wheel, more USB ports, etc.
Yep, Yup, Yuppers,
My Michelins are pretty ok for a price point spec tire.

It was easier to make the 90 degree left turn into my garage with the Maverick than my ‘23 Civic Si. And if I could do it all over again I’d get a low spec hybrid.

I’m not envious of the extra 10-12 grand cost for the Lariat. I got an XL with CoPilot 360, spray in liner, tow hitch, swapped out the steelies for aftermarkets and called it a day. Saved 10-12 grand.

Agreed, I do like heated seats in my cold climate so needs the XLT, but XL is a steal. Lariat purchasers just have to justify their buy!

I mean…is a Lariat a sweet truck and would I like to have one? Uh, yes? But times are tough.

I mean, it’s 2 more months of work.
Maybe for you... I don't have that kind of cash and even if I did I could add mods for less than the price! I would skip lariat altogether and go straight for tremor if I had unlimited $ though. More bang for the buck.

I hear you loud and clear. But compared to overall price, every upgrade is incremental.
