I miss seeing first gen Eclipse/Talon/Lasers driving around
Seems like 99.99% of them are gone or sitting in garages in pieces

Still cannot believe that Mitsubishi shared that 4g63... that was a killer engine in the Diamond Star cars (Eclipse, Talon, Laser)

Nice to see you are using DuckDuckGo as your search engine.

DP would make for some nice gains IMO. Keep us posted if you find anything in the states.

Will do. I bought a new one from Ford and will be sending it out to be modeled and a custom 3" DP made. We will see how it goes. :)

NICE! Right now I have a BCB adaptive 93 tune, 4" intake and resonator delete. A DP would help for sure. Best 0-60 is 5.7 so far. Need some colder air.

What has your truck ran in the quarter? I think I'm similar to you in the 5.7 second range, but only 14.0 in the quarter.

A downpipe would definitely be of a huge benefit. After that though, it'll have to be a turbo upgrade or E85 blends for any more gains.

My 5.76 was like a 14.17 1/4 mile. I'll be running a few 0-60s tomorrow with temps in the mid 40s. Hoping for a 5.5 or so. What are your mods?

Just a homemade intake with cone filter, which does nothing, lol, and I have a 5 Star 91 octane tune. [EDIT: I don't know how I forgot my intercooler, but I have a Focus RS aftermarket intercooler as well] It's far from optimized though. Even my Performance/Tow 87 octane tune ran 14.2@94mph.

I haven't had time to mess with my Mav, but hopefully some time clears up soon. I wouldn't mind getting back on track to get a Ranger turbo setup on it.

My 91 octane tune run was actually a 5.68 0-60, with a DA of 1700ft. I just double checked on my draggy, haha.

Back on track about the Downpipe though. The flange on the turbo has a step in it to hold it precisely on center with the exhaust housing. So, if I look at my notes, it's should be easy to whip up a circular flange design, and then drill holes or make slots to match the 3 bolt flange...

Mine is homemade also. It's a 4" tube and filter. I'm running a 93 tune from BCB. It's the adaptive tune. I'm also running 235/65 Wildpeaks that weigh about 6lbs more per corner. 5.5 would make me happy. That should be a solid 13.8X.

Following incase one makes its way here.
To the back pressure guy
Say it with me.
Back 👏 pressure👏isn’t 👏a 👏good 👏 thing.
why would you want your motor to work harder to push exhaust gases out, Why would formula one cars have electric assist turbos so they don’t need time to spool. Put down your 2003 copy import tuner anddo some research

Ford Maverick 2022 2.0 turbo! Downpipe - Nova Racing - YouTube

I'm gonna bump this thread to see if anyone has seen anything about a larger DP. I did a quick Google search and their was a YouTube video of someone in Brazil (?) Who had what he claimed was a DP from nova racing. I checked their site but all I could find was transmissions. This would definitely be a worthwhile mod. [Edit] I went ahead and posted the video
