I just took possession of my Lariat Tremor less than a week ago and I have to say the keyless entry system is a must have for me. I had this on my 2013 C-Max and liked it but it is even better on this vehicle. This was one thing that moved me up trim. Once you have it it's like power mirrors you can't live without it. I also got the keypad because I have that on the Explorer and it's been a great feature.
Agreed, the keyless entry is well implemented on the Maverick. I have the same feature (implemented the same way) on my Olds MKZ as well, so it's nice to have parity there. My Genesis had keyless entry, but it was implemented using a button. A minor thing, but just grabbing the handle is a nice perk.

Never put the top up in the shade? How bout bird poop? That happened to me.
a commercial carport-like roof at an office. I'd never leave it under a tree like that!

but not sure what it has to do with the Maverick.
to not blindly trust that remote interest was done with usability, rather than marketing the words, in mind!

see what it actually does before buying!

It's refreshing to see someone else GETS IT.
I feel the same way about soft fabric tonneau covers.
Unless it's a folding hardtop convertible. Never lock the doors and never keep anything of value in a convertible. That includes the glove compartment. Keep your documentation in the trunk under the mat if there is one.
Locking the doors could cost you a new top. Ask yourself. Am I keeping something in the car worth $2-$5,000?
A friend of mine in Denver had his VW repeatedly broken into by people trying to steal his stuff. The cost of replacing the driver door window significantly exceeded the value of anything stolen.

After the 3rd breakin, he left his car unlocked. A couple of weeks later, some idiot broke into his car again. Didn't even bother to try to open the unlocked door. Just went ahead and smashed the driver's door window.

Iam old fashion an old I can't bring myself to lock my keys in the truck, even forgot the code after not using the keypad for the first year or so till the truck locked while running and me on the outside, still don't use it but I won't forget the code ever again.
There is a way to program in a new , easier to remember code through the touchscreen. The touchpad is a great feature and has saved my bacon from my own stupidity a few times.

Had keyless/pushbutton start on my Bronco Sport. Don't have it on my XLT and only missed it for about a week. Having the wired keypad is far more useful to me. Not having the keypad would be a non-starter. The aftermarket stick on keypad is ugly. Ford hasn't changed/updated the look in years.
